I send a working iPhone 5 in the most flimsy plastic envelope you provided and if my magic I get a report back saying it's now faulty and my agreed money is reduced to a much lower level, it was working fine when it left me!!!. I also sent at the same time a iPad 3 which was broken/faulty. I stated it was 16gb when I knew it was a 32gb just to test this system. I sent a working phone in the original box as advised. But on receipt at mazuma I was told it had a damaged screen. So that cost me 140 pounds. I think in future I would use a different method of selling my unwanted phone… Read Full Review

“First time disappointed with Mazuma”

This is the first time I've been disappointed with Mazuma who say there was a problem with my lcd screen when they received my 5s. There wasn't this fault when I sent it but what am I to do? “Undervalued ”

Reduced my phone from £35 to £10 for a missing charger flap. Their own terms stated a working phone must not have screen damage etc understandably but to knock 65% off price offered is ridiculous. We're afraid without knowing who you are your order order number it's difficult for us to comment specifically on the phone you sold.

Our website does explain devices cannot have any missing parts. Although a missing charging port cover may seem insignificant, most water proof phones are not water proof without one fitted. Some covers are also very labour intensive to replace.

I have used Mazuma several times before and had never had any problems. This time, they offered £20 for my dad's Sony Xpedia, which he'd barely used, and I was quite happy to accept as it's quite a few years old now and sent the phone off to them. I was then emailed by Mazuma, who said they were now offering £3 because the camera was faulty. Thank you.

We can confirm that the Sony Xperia Z was classed as Faulty due to having a faulty rear camera. If you look closely, you will see there is a black mark in the camera lens. This will be mostly visible if you point the camera to a white background.

Unfortunately, the entire camera module requires replacing in order to repair.

I've looked very closely, and there is not a black mark. I've also taken the same handset to Envirofone this morning, who offered me £22 and couldn't seem to find a fault on the camera either.

Sorry Mazuma, I've lost all faith and will advise my friends and family to be very careful with who they choose to recycle their handsets with in future.

“Verification of faulty units”

So I packaged up my iPad 2 32 gb as directed, paid £11.50 to get it to Mazumo safely and in my opinion the unit was is good working order, there were a few scuffs on the back of the casing but well worth £80. However upon mazumos inspection the touch screen was lifting in the top right hand corner. We offered you the Faulty price or the option to have the iPad returned free of charge. You accepted the offer and we made payment on the same day.

When my iPhone 5c 16gb phone was received by mazuma mobile they informed me that my mobile was faulty. This was the first I had ever been aware of it, however I didn't doubt their integrity. Used them a few times, however on my last occassion I made an attempt to get my iphone 6 returned. Be aware once posted you cannot cancel, cooling off period only lasts until you post fone. We can confirm that once you have posted your phone, we are unable to return it. Due to the fast nature of our service, we process and pay for phones received very quickly upon receipt and are unable to pull handsets out to have them returned.

If you phone is found to be faulty we will email you a revised price with the option to have the phone returned free of charge.

We're assuming your phone was received and paid in full on the same day of receipt.

The website was brilliant really quick and efficient I can't fault it, how ever once my package arrived I was told I only sent an I phone 5 instead of the 5s I had stated I would be sending. Now I know I've had a 5s for two years I paid more for the 5s but for the sake of efficency and argument in accepted the massive price drop .. a quick easy simple process would by the time all the back and forth happened would turn into a giant farce. I sent an iPhone 5 to Mazuma. I will admit the screen had been replaced just over a year ago, but the phone worked perfectly and was not damaged in any way. The LCD screen on your phone was raised and lifting away from the phone chassis. This is likely to have happened because the screen if not a genuine Apple screen.

Unfortunately, the entire screen will need replacing to repair this fault. Our website does explain that the screen cannot be damaged or have any other defects.

Phones locked to EE network work on EE, Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin. This would explain why you could use a Virgin sim card with your EE locked phone.
