We flew Club Class from Toronto to Glasgow on May 12 and the flight was half an hour early. Staff were friendly and attentive. Seat was still a bit snug but much better than economy. Food was edible, you can't expect much else! We travelled home today and had an awesome flight. There were fewer seats in Club Class and the seats were bigger. There was more leg room and we had a screen each with on demand movies, TV shows and music. Again the staff were very nice and we were 10 minutes... (read more)

My teenage daughter came over to Vancouver Air Transat from LGW May 18, 2013, in Club Class. Her laptop ($1,200 value) was in its soft case buried in the middle of her suitcase with clothing packed around it. It got terminally damaged in transit with a dent in the metal back. The force had cracked the screen, wrecking it. I complained but, not surprisingly, they used their 'get out of liability' clause. I claimed major blunt force mishandling should not be covered by the clause. Don't we... (read more)

We booked a trip to Mexico and due to a family emergency, my boyfriend is unable to attend. You got into the incorrect bus, not the airlines problem.
You say you booked a SPECIFIC location in a hotel? Isn't it subject to availability?
People in the plane were loud and drinking and then were asked not to... so the airline did the job correctly?
How can you possible say avoid air transat based on this experience?
I appreciate you'd of expected "better ways to complain" but ultimately your complaints were not the fault of the airline.
Sorry but no airline wants you as a customer, your obviously far too hard to please.

Intoxicated passengers are more than just annoying to passengers and staff. They also pose a risk to their own safety and the safety of others because they may not be in a fit state to follow instructions in an emergency. Alcohol impairs almost all forms of mental activity, including decision making, memory, vigilance, and reasoning. It also adversely affects physical co-ordination. Drunken passengers are a real safety risk, especially if there is an emergency. They may be unable to adequately comprehend instructions, and their physical ability to follow emergency commands may be impaired.
Some passengers may drink too much because of their fear of flying, some because they are celebrating the start of a holiday or an important occasion, and some because in normal life they are heavy drinkers.
Apart from the safety risk in an emergency, intoxicated passengers present a problem for maintaining order on the aircraft. Alcohol consumption has been reported as a factor contributing to 45 percent of on-board incidents according to U.S. research. You should try to spot trouble before it starts.
Refuse entry to anyone you suspect is intoxicated before they enter the aircraft. If someone looks and smells like they are drunk, they probably are.

Have you complained to the FAA regarding this? Why not?
We refused to travel Air Transat for years due to their constantly being delay from the later Cancun returns, terrible attitude from the host(esse)s, small seat spaces (both ways) and 1964 uphostering in the seats (not to mention broken seat belts, trays and seat tilt mechanisms).
In our stupidity we booked through Air Transat, once again this year. Our shopped for, noon hour return flight was just changed to an 8:20 PM flight arriving in T.O. at 1:30 AM getting us out of the baggage mess about 3:00 AM. They will not give us our money back and refuse to negotiate any other solution.
One of the best things was they sold the package to CanJet with their old tight seating and broken down jets but at least we beat the crowd and added another $180 to our package to sit in the emerg exit row seats with their narrower seats (tray in arms).
Air transat has had many chances fromus over the last 25 years of flying and they will never, ever get another one from this dude and dudette.
