“Beyond Frustrating Experience”

Having read other reviews, I was very concerned to be flying Air Transat, particularly as I am a very nervous flyer, but I was delighted with both flights we have just taken. We flew club from Gatwick to Calgary and then back from Vancouver. Check in was fine as we expected queues and as soon as we boarded we were welcomed and offered a drink. “Could be a Good Airline”

Air Transat Transatlantic Service from Canada to UK. The on-line booking site is OK, but it fails to complete the purchase if you have not used Air Transat before. One is forced onto a phone-in booking with all the usual time waste for inadequate call- center resources followed by the time waste of entering all your booking details again over the phone. “Much better that price suggests”

Return flights London Gatwick to Calgary in May/June 2014. The London to Calgary service has competition from BA and Air Canada (although they are Heathrow) and so I suspect Air Transat makes an effort on this route. Having read the earlier and somewhat negative reports of this airline I adjusted my expectations downwards. “Don't Buy Options Plus or Fly Air Transat”

“Awful experience ”

My flight was incorrectly booked online, when i attempted to change the dates i was told i was unable to do so due to the type of ticket i had booked. I read online and realised i was entitled to have my tax returned (missing your flight or cancelling tickets, you're legally entitled to have your tax returned as the tax man only takes the money when you are on the flight.) the staff long story short told me no we don't do that. “No flight crew”

We went to Panama in January... We stayed in a hotel for we live hour and half out of town to be at the airport at 530 am.. We arrive to find out our plane won't fly until 9. Then it got changed to 11am.. So we sat and waited... Then finally board the plane to wait to be de iced... For another hour... So by the time we got to our hotel it was midnight... “Still terrible”

Calgary to Gatwick 9 March 2014. 1 hour queue at check in. Departed an hour late 'because the in-flight entertainment system had to be rebooted'. Terrible food. Expensive drinks. Aircon turned down to freezing so they could SELL you a blanket. I wore my ski jacket the whole way. But the seats! I paid extra to get more legroom, but the seats were so narrow! Flight delayed again! The SamE thing happened last time! When we checked , it says 5.30pm leaving Jamaica for Edmonton, on time. My husband and I with another 2 couples boarded this flight in Calgary for our 7-days’ vacation in Punta Cana on Dec 13, 2014. We had good time for a few hours after the plane took off, then we got the meal service. We were told there were two options to choose but only beef meal was left for us when we were served since our seats were at the back section. “Flight rescheduled”

We paid in full for a non-stop return flight from Vancouver to Punta Cana and now 2 months later, we just received notice that our flight has been "rescheduled". It hasn't been "rescheduled", they have added a stop in Calgary, both ways. My wife and I both took an unpaid day of work, just to get on the non-stop, because I am recovering from a broken hip, and cannot sit down for long periods of time. This cost us a lot of money. Air Transat vactions just did the same to us. Changed the flight provider and the times and basically said Tough, we're allowed to as you would know if you read the fine print. I said obviously customer satisfaction is not a priority for you. The didn't respond.

“breakdowns = delays ”

the thing i didn't like was problems with sensors on the plane...which causes us to be belayed 2.5 hrs. (flight TS190) after talking to numerous people at the resort and airport that also flew with Air transat. the same thing happened leaving toronto twice and then because of the major 5 delay they had to change crew causing longer delays. they were compensated with 20$ food cert. for the airport. we were not compensated at all. not even a sorry… Read Full Review

“Rudeness, incompetence and arrogance”

We had the worst experience possible with this airline. They should change their name to Cattle Air because that is how you are being treated. On a recent flight from Cancun to Vancouver our luggage was lost, we got canned tuna for a meal. The rude service was just bonus. This is a Montreal based company that seems to have such disdain for the western Canada customers. You ought to be ashamed. “Club Voyage/Marlin travel is the WORST”

Worst service ever! Group of 25 travelling to Mexico for my wedding. If you go to Club Voyages in Brossard, RUN! She is the worst travel agent I have ever experienced. Rude, unprofessional and misleading. I was not bridzilla as it was a vow renewal therefore I took it very casually. She threatened a lawsuit against people that cancelled before the deadline! “Transat takes your money then cancels your club seats”

I booked a direct flight to the Dominican for 6 of us. Myself and spouse got club seats to be more comfortable. We booked this almost 6 months in advance. A week after we paid in full the airline told us the trip will now have a stop over and your club seats are cancelled. They gave us an offer that was not desireable with an option to cancel if we didn't like it. “Lost our bikes”

On a recent trip from Montreal to Nantes, France, AT, failed to load our bikes onto the plane, even though they had been handed to an AT employee 3 hrs before takeoff. What followed was a comedy of errors where AT and their Nantes Agent, Avipartner, failed to communicate with our France hotel addresses but instead, only ever phoned our Canada address, even though they knew exactly where we were in France and our hotel phone numbers.
