Have worn this hat for about ten years now on various trips and hasn't let me down yet. Very light and waterproof. The new versions use Gore Tex but mine has the Lowe Triple Point Ceramic fabric, which I have found to be excellent.
For a functional mountain cap, which protects your head and ears from the cold, you won't go far wrong with this.
