    Good Points: Value for money
    Build quality
    sound quality

Bad Points: Can't think of any

General comments: One more fan to add to the list. These acoutsic energy aegis evo speakers are superb whether or not you add the 'for the price' qualifier. I've had a pair hooked up to my Yamaha AV amp for a couple of years now, and I'm still blown away every now and then by some DTS effects. Bass reproduction is superb, and thanks to bi-wiring, the treble is just as good (within the limits imposed by my slightly worn out 40 year old ears, of course)
    Would not hesitate to recommend.

These Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3 are my first pair of what I guess I'll call proper speakers. Every day I sit and immerse myself in their outstanding depth and clarity. For the price, I have to say these are easily the finest domestic speakers I have ever stumbled upon. Even if they were seven hundred quid I'd still find them impressive. I got these brand new off Amazon for £200! Easily the best purchase I have ever made, and it will probably remain that way for quite some time. I look fo ...

For the money, the Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3 speakers are excellent, with all the right ingredients. They play loud without problems, and they respond to peaks well, offering complete scale and authority.

The upper mid-range I found a little distorted when compared with hi-end speakers, and I actually replaced these with Jordan JX92s modules - the result was astounding and I can't really fault them now. The Jordan is running full-range as it handles all frequencies well.

    The AE's respon ...

The Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3 stereo speakers are my second pair of Acoustic Energy speakers, and I have to say that they are fantastic!

I got them at a steal (£220), and I would say that they are worth many times that. In the past I have owned Mission, Kef, Tannoy and Wharfedale speakers, but these are simply the best. Truly, truly excellent speakers. It's like listening to my CD collection for the first time. I am constantly hearing new sounds which my previous speakers left out ...

Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3 - When I first heard these speakers I couldn't believe my ears, the quality is simply outstanding.
I used to only buy Mission speakers. Well, forget it, these speakers are just brilliant. I've also heard other brands and nothing comes close at this price. If you buy the whole surround set, centre, rears, etc., put on a movie in surround sound and hold onto your seat because they will blow you away. Simply perfect.

I compared these Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3's to KEF cresta 30, B&W and Wharfadale diamond Stereo Speakers but these are out standing in performance. I am really proud to own these pair. They are really a value for money deal.

I paid £270 for these around a year ago for these exceptional floorstanders (yes, £80 less than the retail price!) although I would have quite happily paid full wack - they're that good. I compared these to a range of speakers from Mission to Kef, and have yet to find a sub-£500 speaker than outperforms these AE's.

The soundstage is remarkably life-life, flowing and natural sounding, particularly with acoustics and vocals: Elton John sounds his full vivid and passionate self ...
