    Good Points: Very powerful. The amp has an incredible amount of detail in the sound, it has very clear treble and very punchy bass.The straight option, cutting out any un-necessary circuitry like equalisers and effects keeps the sound quality as high as it was at the inputs.The amp has plenty of inputs but only two of them are optical.


    Bad Points: Very confusing settings interface.Some functions like switching between speaker set A and speaker set B, (maybe for switching between 5.1 system and your stereo floorstanders) cannot be done on the remote.The remote control, while being functional and sturdy, does have a slight cheap feel to it.


    General comments: I really like this Yamaha RX-V359 amp and trust it with my beloved speakers, knowing it's got the power to drive them cleanly without risking damage through distortion.I use this amp as a stereo amp, I like this because I know the power supply can deliver the current for all channels at the stated WPC rating, meaning it has virtually limit-less current delivery when needed.Overall, for the price, I'd thoroughly recommend this amp.

    The Yamaha RX-V359 great system. So many inputs, could do with a couple more opticals though as it only has 2.

    The Yamaha RX-V359 is ideal as a home cinema amp. Easy to setup, fantastic sound quality and plenty of modes.

    I have never had any problems with the Yamaha RX-V359 receiver, and for the price it delivers a lot of sound quality.

    The Yamaha RX-V359 has a clear quality of sound, a fair amount of power, and all at a reasonable price.Loads of input choices..decent power output. 100w rmsx5, plus i have a 120w 10"ich active sub, sounds good.Also it looks good in black, i have the dark silver one because the black sold out quickly..prologic 2 also very nice. Those dislikes i mentioned arnt serious enough to affect my opinion of the amp.Its more than powerful.

    All in all I'm more than happy with this product and the Yamaha RX-V359 is a vast improvement on the all in one JVC system that failed me.
