Good Points: I am music freak. I need music in morning, evening, night, most of the time.I had a huge collection of cds, dvds, cassetes, vhs to enjoy music. One day my dad brought MnM Box-Magic n Music box(Ipod). By seeing it I was thinking this is some small speakers or a hand video game. When I opened the box I saw a very attractive kind of small machine. When i saw its backside It was written 30 gb. I was shocked what it is. Then my dad told me that it can contain 10000 songs. I said don't kid me dad. Then he said me go on apples website and read about this product. I ran towards my computer and opened apple website. I read about it and my dad was lying it could not contain 10000 but amazingly 15000 songs. I was extremely shocked. Since that I have not even saw my collection of cds, dvs, etc. It has best sound output and supports all speakers and headphones, it plays, mp3, aac, mp4 with ease. It has a sleek design and a sufficiently wide screen. The picture quality is great. It runs for about 12 hours with a recharge of about 2 hours. It syncs very fast with its own company's software. You can store your favourite movies and enjoy them lying down the bed. The music can be enjoyed while jogging, dancing, running, lying, standing, sitting. It can be attached to speakers in parties with ease.
Bad Points: The biggest problem with the Ipod is the battery life. It seemed that after only 2-3 hours of watching videos, it wanted a recharge. This may have been because some of the battery was used when putting the videos on the Ipod. Still though, the player will not last for a 7 hour plane ride.
Another smaller problem is that Apple has done some magic and made the charger disappear. The Ipods no longer ship with the AC adapter and may only be charged through the computer cable provided. In fact, that is really the only item in the box - except for the player and the headphone covers. They have also included a little pouch in which to keep your player. Oddly enough, it seems largely nonfunctional so far since the screen, buttons, and cable receptor are all blocked when the player is in the case and may simply be in response to the Ipod Nano screen scratching fiasco.
General comments: It has a lot of potential musically. It can be proved best for your time pass when you are bored or can entertain you when you are emotionally said.I think Apple have Created this product just for touching soul.

I am now on my second iPod. The first one lasted 18 months - un repairable - threw it away and bought a 30gb. Had this just over 12 months. There was a connection problem with it - would only work by squeezing the bottom right hand corner. Took it back to the shop in Manchester - had to make an appointment to see one of their "geniuses" I thought he was going to be able to repair it - he looked at it and told me what I already knew, that there was a loose collection. No problem he said I ca ...- Read bridgefamily's review (218 words)

Despite the bad points this is still the daddy of all mp3 players. So what if it scratches a bit - you listen to it not look at it right ??
Battery life is not that bad as its made out to be. Its very easy to get to your music and it sounds great on a system or through headphones and that is ultimately what this all about.
Look at all the others, check out the reviews, study the prices hard then ignore all of that and buy one of these - you won't regret it !!- Read francisjtuk's review (127 words)

I bought this iPod for my wife as a present, but it is frustrating that all the video functions are so complicated, plus it seems that we may have to spend more money on software to convert our DVDs before we can watch them on this device. I think that overall it's more trouble than it's worth, and it has caused arguments, which is the opposite of what I wanted to happen.- Read shermanater's review (97 words)

My Apple iPod is wonderful! It hasn't malfunctioned, and the quality of the sound and picture it impeccable! If you don't feed your dog it will die; if you don't take care of your iPod it will break, but this machine is totally worth the investment. I had a collection of over 300 CD's, and many are scratched or ruined. There is no such problem anymore with my iPod. I think it is an investment that will hold up into the future. Thanks Apple.- Read greenlacybra's review (113 words)

I have had 3 ipods which have all had different problems. One kept skipping tracks and would not charge, one wouldn't load any songs and the last one crashed so I've now got a Sony and have always found their products very reliable.- Read donkeyet's review (42 words)

I would not buy another IPod. I would first check some of the other brands, like Dell's MP3 player. I have had my IPod for approximately 2 months, and I have had constant problems with it locking up and problems syncing with ITunes (ITunes often does not recognize that the IPod is even there). It is definitely not worth the money. I thought I was buying the top brand, but would not buy this brand again.- Read dchartman's review (108 words)

I avoided buying an iPod MP3 player for years. Finally I broke down and decided that the $250 for an iPod that held months worth of music was a way better deal than a $300 CD player for my car. I was right! I have never owned a piece of electronics in my life that integrated so fully into my lifestyle.- Read sfripz's review (78 words)

I got my ipod colour as soon as it came out, and am very happy with it. It's easy to use, and you don't even need any instructions to know how to use it. It starts up quickly, looks good, battery life is good, memory good, more or less everything about it is good.
The only downside is that it does not play movie clips, but I suppose it is an MP3 player and not a portable movie player, so it's not so bad.- Read Raye's review (97 words and 1 comment)

I shelled out quite a bit of money to get an Apple iPod of these things and I was extremely pleased with how much music I could put on it and how easy it was to do so. Then all of a sudden, with no warning at all, up comes an icon with a folder and and exclamation point on it. I asked the helpline people and they said that I needed to send it to them to get it fixed and that it was a hard drive problem. Ok, how much is that? $270! What! That's almost as much as I payed for it (this is for a ...- Read gwinkler's review (285 words)
