Good Points: Prompt, clean and pleasant.
Bad Points: None
General comments: My Range Rover was damaged on a caravan site in Dorset; I called Green Flag to arrange collection of the vehicle and caravan and to transport them to my home in Liverpool. Less than 30 minutes after my call I was contacted by a local garage with the information that a flatback transporter was on its way to me.
We were on our way home about 75 minutes after my first call, I consider this to be exceptional service, because of the distance and the hours it would take it was arranged that we would be met in Birmingham by a second driver and truck to complete the recovery. When we drove into the service area I was very pleased to see the second transporter and driver waiting for us, again excellent service.
I have no hesitation in recommending Green Flag. The drivers and their vehicles were very well presented; the service they gave was faultless.

Been with Greenflag Breakdown Cover for years, they covered both our cars, my husbands motorcycle and my ford transit horsebox. Never used them at all until the horsebox broke down, no horse inside luckily! Took them ages to understand that I had a coachbuilt body bolted onto the transit tipper chasis but we got there after the 8th call. advised driver would be with us in an hour. Two and half hours later he arrives. It'd overheated and run out of water. Chap topped us up and we went on our way ...

Green Flag's no-callout discount means that drivers with reliable cars are rewarded - every year with Green Flag your breakdown cover will reduce in cost if you haven ' t called them out.Like its competitors, Green Flag offers a range of packages to suit all drivers. At the lower 'Rescue' end, the Green Flag offering appears fairly similar to the AA and RAC's basic products. However, if you are looking for a premium product that offers features such as cover for onward travel (e.g. the AA's 'Rel ...

Green Flag have very poor customer services once you get past the initial poor souls that answer the phones. They take no responsability for the actions of the sub contractors even thought it impacts on their customers.

It would take so long to comment on my experience with Green Flag Breakdown, and also with me still being in negotiations I feel silence is a must, but at the right I'd be more than willing to advise and hopefully safeguard others from similar circumstances to what I have witnessed.

Puncture outside my house so called Greenflag. Answered call straight away in a UK call centre. The person I spoke to was friendly and seemed to know what she was talking about. She explained they would probably be able to fix it at the roadside but if for some reason they couldn't was there any garage in particular I would want towed to? I got a text message with the name of the company responding and an estimated arrival time (so I could go back inside and have a cuppa). The recovery agent tur ...

I purchased my Green Flag breakdown cover over the phone. I explained that I cover over 30,000 miles a year. So the rep sorted out the policy that best suited my needs. When I did breakdown (about 8 months into my cover!). I was about 15 miles away from home when I called them. The operator told me that I was only covered within a 10 mile radius of my home. As I had no cash on me, the Driver would have to make a diversion to a nearest cashpoint! To make a withdrawal they were going to charge me ...

I would recommend Green Flag to anyone. First class service. Having had cause to use Green Flag twice this month I can say the service they provided me with was second to none. I was looked after quickly on both occassions.

I'm sure everyone giving these reviews speak honestly of their own experiences, but I would imagine that people with bad experiences, of any sort and on any review, are more likely to write than the satisfied customers. Having said that, I am really surprised about the number of bad reviews of Green Flag, I can only recommend them. Over the last 5 yrs i have called them out about 5 times. From locking myself out with the key inside - to a complete breakdown and the humiliating ride home in the b ...

In our second year with Green Flag breakdown. Needed them once last year with a lock out/immobilser problem with the Range Rover owned at the time.
Rescue personnel were supposed to be with us within the hour but it was nearer two before the outsourced garage service turned up, from a garage two miles away.
The mechanic tried a few fundamental tests, (which I had aleady done from the user manual), then put the vehicle onto the back of his tow truck.

I join with my local garage as they were Greenflag. Just found out that a garage from 30 miles away will be doing my call outs (thats way I waited 90 mins then). I liked the idea of the local garage. Just joined Brittania Rescue.

Never ever again, I am taking a loss of money by getting out from the policy with them and having read the reviews on this site I am going with Europ-assistance. 2 of the recovery drivers sent to help my wife when our car had a punture had no idea how to get the spare wheel out of our Renault Modus. The first one damaged the release handle when he hit it with a tyre lever.

April 2008. With caravan, in farm paddock.. Car seven years old. Battery died so got a jump start and went off to buy a new one. Changed batteries and the car wouldn't start. Lots of chuffing and white (diesel) smoke. For the first time in over forty years of motoring called my Green Flag rescue service. Gave the registration number and the customer advisor said 'Citroen C5'. I informed her that I was in the old Xantia (same personal plate) having just transferred the details. Have been a custo ...

I put a call into Green Flag Breakdown a few days ago after the front nearside tyre on my car had a blowout whilst driving (luckily I was just setting off from traffic lights). After the car limped to a side road, I called Green Flag to arrange a mechanic to come out (having never changed a wheel I felt it safe to get a trained professional to do it just in case I got it wrong and caused more damage).I explained the issue to the operator on the phone, who was keen to go through the details of my ...

I have used them for 2 years and never claimed once. But what I will say is don't renewal with them, go as a new customer.
I got a renewal last week with NO claims discount for recovery plus it was 90.30 the exact same policy as new customer was 72.45, same car same driver exact the same. If you go via cashback site, it was 20 off assuming you get it as there are problems with cashback sites that's 52.45 that's a big saving.

I cannot comment on the quality or speed of their road assistance service, as I have not needed it so far. My review concerns solely their account management practices.
I started my cover in November 2006, for £60. One year later I realised that my cover had finished and since I did not receive any offer for renewal, I bought the same cover online for £67. Since this was a new cover, I did not get the no-call-out discount.
However, when I received the bill from a credit card I am ...
