Thursday of last week out in our van broke down !!! rang green flag ? approx. 1.30pm they said we will send someone out to you asap..... after repeated calls to them they just kept saying they will be there shortly???... 4pm the guy came took one look & said clutch has gone you will have to go home on a low loader arrived home late & distraught from a terrible experience...Too late for us to get our van repaired & too late to hire a van O.M.G.Staff in call center dredfull . what an awfull… Read Full Review

“Caravan Shunt.”

Whilst on site, sitting in our caravan, we were shunted approx 45 degrees into our awning by a runaway car & caravan. Not knowing how much damage there was to the nosewheel, steadies etc, we called Green Flag. They were pleasant & helpful & said whenever we were ready to go, to let them know. We had a lorry to take our caravan to a destination chosen by us within a couple of hours. All in all it was efficient & painless, which is just what you want when these things happen. “Absolutely amazing service”

I just really want to thank the lovely gentleman that came and saved me today. I coudln't of asked for someone to go more above and beyond their job role. okay he couldn't fix the problem with my car, but its had issues since i've had it and he did his very best and towed me home and mentioned that i could then be towed to a garage tomorrow as it is a sunday today. “Please do NOT take out cover with Green Flag”

Recently had a breakdown on long journey south smoke pouring out from front of car. Called out Green Flag ...chap turned up about an hour later and after an examination of about eight minutes told us car was drivable so no relay! Called Green Flag again but after long called curtly told again...No relay! 40 odd miles later in the pitch black in the middle of nowhere our car engine blew up! “Suspect morals”

I strongly advise not to allow this company to charge by Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) on a credit card. They regard it as a lifetime commitment and extracting from the commitment which is on a one year contract is difficult to put it mildly. They ignore correspondence and even the correspondence address is in minute letters at the bottom. In their terms and conditions they allow themselves 2 weeks notice to cancel but no mention at all of the poorer customer. The CC companies themselves… Read Full Review

On 09/02/15 I broke down with gearbox malfunction in Portland Place London W1.I contacted Green Flag who gave me an 45/1hr wait mechanic arrived within time stated told me gearbox was gone which I knew and pick up lorry would be about another hour this turned up 4 hours later after numerous phone calls.I was in contact with a operator from your Glasgow call center who was very nice and told me she would find out why I had to wait so long She told me that due to many breakdowns and a big crash… Read Full Review

Received my Green Flag renewal today, and the price including 1 years no claims is a 15% rise, 15% RISE!! As I paid monthly by direct debit the renewal read "YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING.WE'LL RENEW YOUR POLICY AUTOMATICALLY" in the hope that you trust they are honest and have given you a discount. If you're caught trying to "rip off" an insurance company it's a crime, when you complain about an insurance (Green Flag) trying to rip YOU off nothing is done. I'm a nanny and I went to pick up the children I was looking after from their nursery. I picked them up and went to leave and my car wouldn't start. I rang Green Flag and they said I was a priority as I had children in the car so they said they would be with me within the hour. They took two and a half hours to arrive. If you are considering Green Flag in an effort to save a couple of quid please, please, please think again and don’t do it. The first time I ever had to ring Green Flag for assistance and told the girl about my suspected blown head gasket, and that I would need a tow back to my home. She was not the least bit interested in my predicament, only whether I was driving the vehicle registered with them and for some strange reason the colour of it. Are you cancelling? If so, who will you go with instead? I have just spent all evening reading equally **** reviews about EVERY car breakdown company and I am at a loss of who to change to. RAC let me down on Friday with THREE HOUR wait while Disabled and in unsafe situation and eventually I had to seek help in the road myself while distraught. I cannot find a reliable breakdown company anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to change to green flag until I read THIS review and other bad ones!!!!!

Required their assistance twice and both times a complete let down. Utterly disgusted by misinformation. Missed very important meeting regarding my child who has a disability after being twice assured loan car will be delivered on time. It wasn't , in fact it wasn't even delivered at all, someone turned up at door to take me to collect car . “Over 3 hours, kept telling us 20 mins”

We had a flat tyre that we couldn't fix ourselves due to a missing lock nut tool (otherwise we would have). Originally told it would take 45 mins to an hour- after 3 hours and US making constant calls for an update, still no sign. I am a 70year old lady who was alone in my car in a snowstorm when my tyre had a puncture. I could not repair the tyre and the car model only had a can of spray foam to inject into the tyre. I was stranded in the countryside with no means of help or ability to walk to get help. I phoned Green Flag and the man I spoke to calmed me down and reassured me. “Cover but not if needed”

Signed up with Green Flag for a few years and never used them until my car had a puncture, my wife was in car herself. She phoned them to request assistance explaining car was on a corner and she was having to flag other cars to slow down. Green Flag asked if car had alloy wheels with lock nuts. “Left for hours with 9month old”

I have green flag local Recovery and broke down just outside oxford. I was told I was priority as I was on my own with my 9 month old baby. They took an hour and 15mins and only sent a technician who took one look and said yea I can't fix this we need a tow truck but that will be 1.5hrs!!
