I paid extra to go with these cowboys, they ended up putting my family's life in danger by leaving us on the M25 for over 5 hours. I gave them Gps coordinates and read the nearby motorway sign. After 1 hour I called back and they told me i wasn't there!
After 3 hours of phone calls to rude staff who couldn't care less about the danger we where in, my mobile died. I had to then walk to down the motorway to find an emergency phone and call the police for advice, they got in contact with Green Fla ...- Read crazytaxi's review (255 words)

I have paid for Green Flag breakdown for the last 3 years but never had the need to use their services. When we returned from holiday recently and I was unable to start the car I called them to see if they could visit. I said there was no immediate rush as I was at home and I am sure they had more urgent breakdowns (women/children stranded on motorways, etc) but if they could out some point that day that would be great.
I was told they were exceptionally busy and they would not be able to visi ...- Read Guest's review (212 words)

I signed up for Green Flag Recovery via Direct Line for my Rover 75.
5 Months into ownership my car would not turn over in the morning.
I called Green Flag who advised I had not purchased "Home Cover" . I was not offered this option by Direct Line but to add this would cost £100. I reluctantly added this level of cover and they arranged for a local garage to come out. Essentially that is all Gren Flag do - they have local member recovery services who they refer the work on to.
The Tow T ...- Read pjryan21's review (229 words)

I recently broke down in a really dangerous place and needed towing away quickly. The call centre staff seemed to appreciate this point and were fast and courteous and avoided unnecessary fluff in the conversation. The tow truck arrived within half an hour and was just what we needed when we needed it!- Read stuartblack279's review (53 words)

If you are looking for a recovery service then this is a cheap option, if you are expecting a breakdown service then forget it! The power steering drive belt snapped on my 5 year old Ford Mondeo, Green flag did honour their promise to attend in just over 1 hour but with only a recovery vehicle. The driver had been instructed to transport my vehicle to their base some 20 miles away where I would have been given a loan car and my car moved to a repairer of my choice or to my home (120 miles away) ...- Read Guest's review (174 words)

Green Flag free through Churchill Insurance. What a good deal - or so I thought until today 8 Oct. I was unable to demobilise the immobiliser through central locking so unable to start car. Green Flag called, turned up in good time and advised couldn't repair, but would cost about £160 at nearest garage. I stopped, thought about the same thing happening a couple of years previous. AA fixed it within 2 minutes. Called AA, took out policy there and then for £132.50. Excellent s ...- Read AndreaB's review (114 words)

I wish I'd known that Green Flag don't carry diagnostic devices to plug into the cars (at least in London SW) or I'd never signed up with them.
A complete waste of money because they have no diagnostic equipment and since every car is based on a computer they are unable to diagnose faults at the roadside.
I've gone straight back to Audi Assist (RAC) and cancelled the Green Flag policy with 9 months remaining on it losing the full cost of the policy as it was completely inadequate. They should ...- Read Guest's review (139 words)

Accident 05/08/2009 Green Flag Breakdown came late by half an hour picked car up left me disabled person with 2 kids at the side of the road, had to make our own way home. on complaining I was offered twenty pounds to cover taxi fare home.
They say its not there fault its the insurance company.
I don't know what I would have done if they had left me at the side of a motorway.

intreting you are saying "green flag repatriate our car in hours"
I have my European breakdown with Green Flag, few years back one of my vans was traveling in France around Lyon( about 450 miles away from Calais) when it broke down, however after contacting GF direct in UK they 've told me that the repatriation after 250 miles(Paris area) will not be possible styraight away I have to wait around a month untill they will have a car trasporter filled up!
so my advice before you buy your breakdown ...- Read LeoCroatia's review (114 words)

Would love to be able to give a positive review of Green Flag Breakdown Cover, however - i was tempted to join via an on-line offer promising £10 cashback from Green Flag if I joined. (via Internet Cashback) Needless to say, they didn't honour the offer, took the full joining fee, and have never paid the cashback. Several emails to their custoemr services department asking for an explanation have gone unanswered. Not exactly the sort of behaviour you expect from a National company...- Read Guest's review (83 words)

We recently broke down on a trip with our 3 children round london. Although we have had full cover for a few years this was the first time we needed to use it. The call took only a few minutes and a local company came out within 40 mins, which was brillaint as wasnt parked in a very safe spot with kids. I would highly rate these with no fault at all. Our car couldnt be fixed so we were towed back to southampton again all simple and quick. Thankyou greenflag for helping us- Read Guest's review (92 words)

Have been with these for about 2 years - initially ok - however in this last year have had several experiences which has totally changed my mind. I will now never touch Green Flag with a barge pole!! Most of difficulties arise from telephone staff - not listening to problem and sending technician with no idea what is required and then not equipped to deal with a minor fault that required a jack and a cable tie!! came with only a recovery vehicle "that was what I was told"
I have had several ...- Read Guest's review (206 words)

My Range Rover was damaged on a caravan site in Dorset; I called Green Flag to arrange collection of the vehicle and caravan and to transport them to my home in Liverpool. Less than 30 minutes after my call I was contacted by a local garage with the information that a flatback transporter was on its way to me.
We were on our way home about 75 minutes after my first call, I consider this to be exceptional service, because of the distance and the hours it would take it was arranged that we wou ...- Read mikenetic's review (159 words and 1 comment)

Been with Greenflag Breakdown Cover for years, they covered both our cars, my husbands motorcycle and my ford transit horsebox. Never used them at all until the horsebox broke down, no horse inside luckily! Took them ages to understand that I had a coachbuilt body bolted onto the transit tipper chasis but we got there after the 8th call. advised driver would be with us in an hour. Two and half hours later he arrives. It'd overheated and run out of water. Chap topped us up and we went on our way ...- Read bikerchickone's review (377 words)
