Volkswagen Golf Plus Sport is a fantastic family car. Easy to drive, park, etc. Loads of room, front and back. Especially back. Rear seats move forwards as does the seat backs which gives almost as many options as normally only front seats do. Excellent for passengers across the age range. Fast acceleration. No problems with overtakes etc. I get around 48pmg regularly and occassionally as much as 56mpg if traffic and stops allow. Even fully loaded and m-way hi speed driving will get 42mpg or more. Very spacious for all. Very few negatives. If I had to list one then it would be reduced visibility from the a-frames. I am used to that now but a niggle to start. Tsi sport 140 engine the one to have,which I do. Sports suspension is firm to say the least. I am 50 yrs old and still find the ride agreeable, but wife, who also has Golf SE says its far too hard. Try it out first, I guess, is the advice. The higher seating position makes entry and exit easier, especially if you are not as nimble as you once were. Kids will benefit from the tables in the rear, for food, drinks and dvd player. Whenever I get the chance that's where I sit, and its great. Buy one !
