Toyota Avensis 2.2 D-4D T3-S 5dr is a good Car - 60 Mpg plus on long journeys.
Fuel Efficiency
Stability
Refinement
Good Solid Motor
Very Safe.
Only bad point is going up hill - but that has to do with the gearing ratios which are more suited for normal driving.
Highly recommended.

I bought the Toyota Avensis after a Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI 140 Elegance. Big mistake. The Skoda is a better car in every respect. 10 bhp less but better acceleration through the gears. How? At least 10 mpg better fuel consumption in all conditions. Better handling. Better switches. Cruise control that allows you to resume even though you have dropped below 30mph for a few moments.
