I am on my 8th Honda civic. 6th Spaceship one! I love them I had the type R pre-09, the pre-08 type s's, a 5drs, everything you can imagine. I have only ever had 1 problem and the dealer (Speedwell Honda) the best customer service ever. All warranty work whole wind shield replaced within 2 days, car full valet and given back to me. I had car loaned to me for free with fuel. I just bought my 8th civic the new 09 facelift type s gt diesel, orange with all the image kit on and wheels, I got 4,000 off and I got 13,800 for me 09 pre facelift civic and I originally, paid 14,600 for it new and its 9 months old. The new civic list price with accessories is 22 grand and I paid less than 18,000. I recommend speedwell Honda (in Devon any day). Best sales service and best customer service. Thank you all

Had the Honda Civic 2.2 for 2 months now, fantasic car, a real joy to drive, I've had no issues as stated above. Great looks definatley the dash is like a spaceships, and loads of space. IMO if you are thinking of buying one get it ASAP.
Only negative is that i like the car so much i possibly clean it to much.- Read Guest's review (61 words)

I have had my Type S coming up to 18 months and do about 110 miles a day in it (nost of it motorway). Apart from a problem with the handbrake when I first got it (it ended up on the drive accross the road!). I can't fault it.
The car drives a dream quick when need be and makes my long journeys a pleasure, I like to sit in it with its funky looks and I love the sleak lines of its exterior!
My fuel comsumption is pretty good (and I don't drive it like a sissy either!). I think if you need a work h ...- Read Guest's review (146 words)

Owned 3 months, I am pretty impressed. Looks good & performs well (if not as good as last Celica). The dash looks ace at night and I like the seats, although they scrimp a bit on the alcantara in places. It understears when pushing on, but generally drives well. I can get 52 (53 quoted average) around the pennines, driving like my dad. I haven't driven it flat out for long enough, but am guessing mid 40's if I do. All diesel figures from the government are very optimistic without doubt.Bad bits! ...- Read Paul308's review (247 words)

I got my Honda Civic type s for Christmas and have had nothing but bother with it. The clutch has failed twice, the pedal completely stuck to the floor and smoke piled out of the bonnet in the middle of the city centre. Then, about a month later I was driving along doing about 65mph when the engine died and the steering lock came on! Contacted dealership and the main engineer said they had replaced a part but couldnt guarantee it was the right one. Several letters and phonecalls later, we haven' ...- Read j134679's review (128 words)

Had my type S GT for 2 months and have been at Honda at least twice a week with problems, broken door strap joint, broken window seal, indicators didn't work. Ran out of oil. Honda say it's OK for car to use a litre of oil every 625 miles and that you should check oil every time you fuel up. Fuel economy is no where near as advertised. I am struggling to get any more than 42mpg. To fit a dog guard you have to drill holes in trim to screw it in. To fit roof bars you have to cut roof trim. I have been on to honda concerning the condensation in my Honda Civic 2.2 i-CDTi Type S which they changed the lights twice for it only to be the same, now they say that there's nothing they can do for it's inside the manufactours specification, then why did they alter them twice? Customer service at honda leaves a lot to be desired.- Read smithdear's review (142 words)
