After 9 months of good service, my Daewoo DSD9502T started to freeze on Pause Live TV. With 26 hours of recording time left, refused to record and indicated that the disc was full. Reformatted the disc and all seems well. However, have lost some treasured recordings.

Now not too confident in reliability

Daewoo DSD9502T can not handle too many requests from the remote control it crashs everyday I had two in the house here and one started to shut-down and then start-up again problem was traced to the tuner had to add a splitter to fool it into working even if it dose cut the signal down on some channels it just about got through when it was not windy. The above faults also apply to the New Model Daewoo DSD9503T which now has the Freeview play back logo on the front case, some are still on sale without this series record function, watch out your not sold an old one that's cheaper!!!!!

List of New faults this PVR has shown:

Clock time sometimes stops have to unplug from the mains to correct.

EPG can become corrupt and show missing programmes in the listing unplugging for 3 mins corrects the problem, this fault can cause programs to fail to be recorded.

Update- from Mew45 it's been ages now since I last wrote about the Daewoo new channals have come and gone on Freeview CNN in Northern Ireland was removed after 3 weeks, I am still using the Daewoo PVR and yes switching off the Update still works great, leaving it on all the time keeps the time correct.

Mew45 again I have found out by switching off auto updates it has cured the problem of the PVR re-booting so the Aerial splitter can now be removed for good this action have been done to both PVR and it has been good for the last 4 months or more.
