    Good Points: unique title

Bad Points: too much money was spent on the big name stars, so the effects are at times poor

General comments: Whilst recieving many a good review from a multitude of respected critics, i found his film at times disappointing, and often highly offensive. As much as i am ashamed to admit, my primary income at the moment is as a male nanny/babysitter, as i am between jobs, and often in the evening i rent a film to pass the time. From the infomation given on the box, i was not expecting and of the actual contents, and even deemed it suitable for my young babysats to watch, how wrong i was! The excess nudity was not by far and away the worst part of the film, in fact it seemed in moderation to the extreme violence employed by the producers in an effort to get people to see the film. In point of fact, this film just sets in stone many of the points raised by the debate currently raging about censorship! The fact that such a film was allowed to be released with it containing the material that it does. Although considering the level that society has sunk to, i hardly think it fair to blame the consequnces of civilisation gone astray on one film, it is merely the subjuntive climax of the deterioating society as a whole. IN OTHER WORDS, DONT SEE THIS FILM.

A really good film. Arlington Road is slow to build without being too dreary, with just enough information to let you make your own investigations along with the main character. The plot and ultimate ending are craftily written, with excellent intertwined storylines, and a great dead-pan bad-guy who keeps you guessing till the finale'
