Good Points: Build quality, accuracy, weight and looks.
Bad Points: Sloppy underlever.
General comments: Up until the point when i bought my Pro Sport the best springer i ever shot was the Weihrauch HW 97/77. But i'd heard so many good reviews on this gun, i thought i'd give it a go. I bought mine second hand with a nice custom stock on it for a very reasonable price. It has to be said that this rifle is the best looking springer on the market and i'd go as far as saying that it could well be the best looking rifle period. Everything about it is good, the build quality is second to none, i've heard that AA's blueing isn't up to much, but i can honestly say that i haven't found it to be the case with mine. It has a nice deep even blue finish. Upon firing it for the first time, i was surprised that the firing cycle was a bit on the lazy side compared to my 97. This gave me cause for concern at first, thinking that it might be a bit hold sensitive and convinced myself that i'd made a boo boo buying this gun. But that all changed when i took it to the club the following Sunday. It is so easy to hit knock down targets out to the max of 55 yards, i can even follow the flight of the pellet through the scope on its way to the target, for a spring gun that is pretty impressive. What surpises me also is although the lock time is slower than my 97 it doesn't seem to effect its down range accuracy at all, i actually find it easier to hit targets then with my 97. I would go as far as saying that i find it as easy to hit targets as if i was using an Air Arms TX SR, the recoil is a gentle nudge in the shoulder and it don't suffer too much from hold sensitvity. The only downside i would give this gun is the underlever, it can become rather sloppy but all you need to do is put some lock tite on the the thread and it will stay in place. I would definitely recommend this to other people.

It is the best air rifle i have ever shot, i hit the rabbit every time! It just feels so right, and that wonderful scope is just the icing on the cake.

The Air Arms Pro Sport is an excellent gun. This gun is extremely accurate and very well balanced. Could be a bit lighter but the good thing is that every gun I have held since seems light.

This has to be the best springer I've ever had the pleasure to shoot in nearly 30 years. It's a MANS gun,not for the pcp crew. Feels good, handles PERFECTLY.
Power is, cough cough, well, just lets say, you won't be complaining about it...... Ha Ha !

Buy this one over the TX if you like the cocking arm hidden, otherwise, either rifle is superb. I was fortunate enough to befriend someone in Florida who did a professional job of going through mine before taking delivery.

Out of box it is super smooth too load,I chronoed it after 150 shots ,but mine was down on power using air arms 5.52 pellets producing only 10.3 ftlbs and even less with crossman accupells. So i fitted a v-mach tuning kit ,power went bang on legal limit using the 5.52`s with less recoil.Someone told me that they are set up at the factory using Bisley magnums, dont know if this is true but would explain the lack of power .It is possible to make a fantastic gun even better.

Does start to feel a bit heavy after an hour or so fitting a strap is a good idea, but it has such a good feel to it i cant put it down ,and i seem to all of a sudden start to hit more 40 meter targets as soon as i started to use this gun. Have had it for a year has just got better over that time.

What can i say ,if you are thinking about getting an underlever springer with class then the Air Arm Pro sport is just that rifle. Its accurate beyond belief , feels smooth to fire , great gun to shoulder as just feels like its part of you. This gun is expensive though at a price you would expect to pay for a pre charge gun but once you fire it you'll know why you paid it.

This gun is the cream of the crop , the rolls royce of spring guns , you get what you pay for ,and you certainly get the lot with this gun. It feels well balanced to hold and is one of the most accurate springer guns i've fired in my opion. It has the TX200 Mk3 firing feel but with more smoothness ,and thats probably because is tuned ready to fire straight from the box .I love this gun , the TX200 mk3 would be a second choice. If you want the best springer underlever ever made , this is it so ge ...

This gun is mediocre if you want to sit on an inside range all day, and shoot small pieces of paper.
But honestly, you could do so much better with a BSA lightning XL or even a weirach HW77 or something.
On my first point, this gun is really heavy. I took it out with my friend (who owns a BSA ultra) we went hunting. Having the prosport in .177, as recommended, i felt confident. Shot a pigeon at 20 yards, that was fine. But that was all. My friend was hitting rabbits out to 40 yards! At 40 yard ...

I was looking to get back into air rifles after a long absence. I had previously owned a BSA Mercury (.22) in my late teens and remember it being a wonderful gun - powerful, accurate and well made. I used it mostly for hunting for which it was highly effective. Now 45 and with the blood lust out of my system (I think), I have recently spent months reading endless reviews just trying to pin down exactly which weapon would suit me best. Firstly I focussed on the BSA lightning (but the plastic trig ...

This weapon exudes quality, with superb build quality. The Pro sport is an expensive air rifle, however in this case you get what you pay for. I would not hesitate to recommend the Pro sport as the 'Pros' far outweigh the 'cons'

I'm a 47 year old male, who once owned a BSA Super Meteor as a teenager, and was looking to get back into some casual shooting on my new 5 acre property. I read a few reviews, and plumped for the .22 Pro-Sport.
All those years ago, my Super Meteor arrived in a preformed polystyrene case inside a presentation case, with a bottle of gun oil and a few other bits and pieces. I'm sure this didn't add much to the price, but it was a nice touch. The £350 Pro-Sport arrived in plain cardboard box, ...

As i said when first purchased, an excellent all round rifle. I have shot with in on target ranges and when zeroed, knocks targets down to 50 meters with reassuring regularity. It makes you feel so much more confident when out in the field.
To begin with build quality, faultless, the stock, a lovely well balanced piece of beautiful walnut. Sits well to the shoulder and cheek, the trigger, fully adjustable to set up as you require.
Cocking mechanism, it sits neatly and tidily into the stock, t ...

I know I said I would not buy another Air Arms. I LIED! From the first shot I knew this Air Arms Pro Sport was the gun for me, accurate and good balance. I must be Mr Unlucky, at 2000 pellets the bluing started to come off (yes I got it wet). Worse it went over power BAR, sent it back to AA they changed the cylinder and barrel but turned power down to low, 10ftlb, so I took it to a gun smith to turn the power up to 11-ish. Within minutes of leaving the shop, I got a phone call to come back ...

Receieved my Air Arms Pro Sport and I was a bit disappointed in the build quality a pin ended up working loose. I also found the trigger a bit creepy, took it back and got a different air rifle
