Achladies Apartments.

Breathtaking views, from our marbled and alabaster balcony, over one of the prettiest sandy bays with crystal clear waters is one of the reasons we will be returning to
Achladies Apartments.

We visited Skiathos last year and decided to seek out an apartment that had sea views to book a return trip to this beautiful island and we were lucky enough to find this gem.

The building is nestled into the hillside with stunning views over Achladies bay. To give you an idea of the location a little down the road is a four star hotel and on the other side is a building on the market for £1.6m - need I say more?

We booked a two bedroom apartment (we have two children aged 12 and 9 years). It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for your stay. As soon as we entered the room our eyes were drawn straight to the balcony where the sea view stretched out before us. I believe my first words were "wow!"

It takes one minute to walk to the golden beach from our rooms (yes I timed it).

You might well be tempted to stop and walk through the gardens and check
how the turtles are doing or stop to admire all the hard work that goes into keeping up
this oasis of pools and plants in temperatures that soar.

There is a choice of four tavernas with one of the best Greek nights at the Paradise Taverna which overlooks the beach. A quaint ferry leaves every few minutes from the beach and takes you straight into Skiathos old harbour town.

The welcome we received was second to none.

I've never written a review in my life but have looked at others which I found very helpful. In that spirit I've taken the plunge to put our thoughts down. I have to say I just couldn't believe our luck at finding this wonderful place at such value for money.

I don't believe they offer the apprtments through any tour operators so if I hadn't seen it the year before and taken a note of it we'd never have found it. So unless you are reading this it is unlikely that you'd see or hear of it anywhere else! They don't appear to advertise either as they get a lot of repeat business or recommendations from friends. The service at Achladies Apartments on Skiathos is very good. People are friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, and the food was too. I would recommend these apartments.

I have been to Skiathos a few times now and my favorite place is the Achladies Apartments, run by Alexander and Pavlina Karvounis. The apartments are furnished, one or two bedroom studios located in Achladies Bay. Surrounded by gardens, all apartments have an astonishing view of the sea. The gardens are a labor of love, stocked with nature and animals. This is a beautiful sanctuary for turtles, semi-tropical plants, birds and other species.
