Couldn't resist a quick review after another memorable visit to the Mourne Seafood Bar in September 2009. Accommodating and helpful as ever for vegans, phoned in the morning and arranged my lunch, delicious roasted vegetables for starters and a wonderfully rich lentil curry with tempura green beans for my main course. My wife was impressed as usual with her oysters followed by hake with mash and roasted vegetables, washed down with lovely white wine and draught Whitewater Belfast Lager. Cheerful, friendly staff, good service, comfortable surroundings, an essential part of any trip to Belfast for lovers of good food!

We have been to the Mourne Seafood Bar 3 times and were very impressed with the quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere. The oysters, mussels and fresh fish, including seabass and hake, have been divine, perfectly cooked and flavoursome. Vegan and vegetarian options are available, especially if you phone in advance. On our recent visit, May 2009, there were 2 choices, quinoa and roasted vegetables and green beans tempura with salad and dip. The wine was good and the local microbrewe ...- Read kensmoon's review (163 words)

I have been to Mourne Seafood Bar, Belfast three times and the food has been consistently very good. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in the place and the staff are helpful and friendly. Its a good place for either a couple or a group of people. Good wine list and the best mussels I've ever had. I would highly recommend.- Read Vaun's review (61 words)

Mourne Seafood Bar is the most consistently good dining experience in Belfast including the service (fast, efficient, polite), the decor (appropriate, non-intrusive), the variety of food on offer (some classic fish dishes, some more adventurous, some veggie and non-seafood options). I take visitors to Belfast here because I know it won't disappoint.- Read Guest's review (73 words)

Recently visited the restaurant with a friend who previously had made a complaint to the manager, regarding the freshness of some oysters. This had apparently had had a lasting effect, as we where told that no tables indoor where available, which did not seem to be the case. We where told we could sit outside and pay for the meal upfront. This was not a situation that I was happy with and indeed brought this to the attention of a member of staff. The worst customer care I have ever received and ...- Read J Pelan's review (182 words)

The Mourne Seafood Bar in Belfast offers a friendly almost pub environment, with fishmongers in the entrance selling very fresh fish. The fishmonger was well informed and prepared the fish we bought.
The restaurant was homely with a pub environment. The staff were helpful and well informed. The menu is changed daily. The food was wonderful. Fresh food cooked well.
I can't compliment this restaurant enough. It was a wonderful experience eating such wonderful food in such a wonderful env ...- Read zjfizz's review (107 words)
