“Have given me my life back”

★★★★★

written by Jaxz90 on 24/10/2023

I was apprehensive about a DMP, shame humiliation and thinking there would be no end in sight. However, with Payplanplus I am reducing my debt under a structured affordable amount. I can ask for reviews as and when needed, great for me as I am working on temporary employment contracts. The team also understand mental health, and check in with me occasionally to make sure all is ok.

I was struggling with debt and decided to use Payplan. They helped me to clear all my debts and be debt free with an IVA. Payplan took away all the stress and dark thoughts and I would encourage anyone with debt problems to contact them. They will help to sort this out. My only one gripe is that they changed my Case Officer too many times, but I still got a 200% service.

I have been in a DMP with Payplan for approx 5 years. This year is my final year and i will then be debt free. I have had no contact from my creditors since starting my DMP. This was the best decision and i would advise anyone struggling to contact Payplan :)

“LIFE CHANGING DECISION”

★★★★★

written by yvCrowley94 on 21/03/2016

I had run up unsecured debts of nearly £80,000 over a seven year period an then I lost my job. Even before redundancy I was struggling every month with massive credit card interest, added late interest and endless phone calls. I managed to get another job within a couple of months but now realised that I couldnt carry on. Went to Citizens advice intially and they were quite dismissive, so called Payplan after seeing some information on line and never looked back. They work out your available money after mortgage, house hold bills and food shopping etc and thats what you pay each month. They managed to get the interest stopped on 8 out of 9 credit cards and the plan term was set at 8 Years. 8 years can seem a long time but now 6 years in and down to £23,000! If your stressed, not sleeping and generally worried sick call them, you wont be sorry.

I never write reviews about anything but I feel I have to because payplan has give me a a new start and I am so greatful to them.I have just finished my DMP after 5 years and I am now debt free thanks to payplan,5 years ago I got myself into about £5000 worth of debt,I started with a credit card then a couple of store cards, payday loans etc,I was paying £400 a month wich was just paying the interest on some of them,my bank gave me payplans number and said for me to ring them and that they could help because none of my cards was going down,I rang them and they was lovely I thought they may judge me for getting into so much debt but they never they was very understanding and reassuring, they have given me support all the way through my DMP they sorted all my creditors out for me at the very beginning I didn't have to do anything,I have just paid my last payment and payplan has phoned me to say that I am debt free all my creditors are happy and my balances with them are all zero, it really is such I nice feeling,so if you are struggling, worrying, not sleeping then you really should ring payplan and you will start sleeping again I did,I just want to say a big thank you PAYPLN for everything.xx

“Best decision I could have made”

★★★★★

written by SanaiHaley on 24/03/2014

I have read a lot of the reviews on here and just had to stick my oar in. I have 17 payments left to make to my IVA, 16 from next week, I can honestly say, I sleep a whole lot better now than I did for the 12 months before I entered into the IVA. I have had a change of supervisor but so far so good. I am actually enjoying living without credit, if I cant afford it I cant have it, I just wish this way of life had come to me sooner then I wouldn't have gotten into the mess I did. Thanks Payplan you have been a godsend.

Hi I have just been informed that I have been awarded 1499 pounds from a mis sold PPI, I am in an IVA with Pay Plan how much of this will I be able to keep I think my case officer said 8% is this correct because I have some urgent house repairs that need doing, I must say I have been very pleased in the way Pay Plan has handled our case.

Thank you for sharing such positive comments on the service you have received from us. We really appreciate it.

It would be best to speak to your case officer about this claim as they will be able to confirm the amount for you.

My contact details are at the top of this page if I can be of further help.

Good luck with the house repairs.

Since starting DMP back in 2007 ive had nothing but fantastic service. Ive had a couple of issues with payments but the team have sorted everything out very quickly and efficiently. Im nearing the end of my plan and am very excited about it. I've also had a couple of people dealing with my plan but understand this and it not caused me any issues at all. Thanks for all your help to date.

I started a debt managment plan in 2006, I owed approx £26,000. The help and guidence I received from Payplan was 1st class. I finished my plan in April this year and I am now debt free. Yes they change case officers every now and again but I never had any problems with any of them. I was always kept informed by email of any changes. So in a nutshell I cannot recommend them highly enough and they are FREE so if you want to go to all the other debt managment companys out there and are happy to pay them well go ahead and fill ye boot's. Payplan is a no brainer,

Been on an IVA for two years, only on my 2nd case officer. Change 2 months ago. Did loose paperwork at first, but everything seems to be running smoothly. Great company. the only down side is having to give half of my works annual bonus each year.

“Almost there and they have changed our lives forever!”

Back in 2008 myself and my husband did not know what to do or where to turn for help. We initially visited the CAB and after much consideration we then contacted Payplan for some help and advice. I recall the process was explained to us very clearly and they took everything from us and dealt with our problems from day one. After being recommended to enter into an IVA this is exactly what we did and since 2008 they have done nothing but support us and understand. We are now nearing completion of our IVAs and they continue to be just as helpful, understanding and friendly. Like other reviews, we seem to have gone through different case officers but this has had no effect on us or our overall plan. I have nothing but praise for the team at payplan and i hope this remains the case for a further few months while we complete our IVAs. I would highly recommend Payplan to anybody if they are in a situation they need help with.

“The best DMP company ever”

★★★★★

written by Kazndeyno on 22/01/2013

In 2009 I found myself struggling with debt and I initially started a DMP with a different company called Gregory Pennington which was a big mistake, however a friend/colleague recommended Payplan to me as they offer a free service, so I approached them in 2010 and I am so glad I did they took me through every step I maintained my payments and when something happened to my car making me fork out unexpected costs I explained to Payplan and they said not a problem to just make a token payment to each creditor via them so I was able to pay for my car, then after that luckily nothing happened and I can finally say I have completed my DMP today and what a relief, and to be getting a refund from my last payment also as the remaining debts only came to half my usual payment this was a bonus. Honestly these guys are fabulous my Personal Finance Manager was Rogerio Leitao and my case officer was Paula Pacheco and they have been amazing throughout my DMP, you can access your own online account to show payments and the progress, also what you have paid into your DMP and estimated balance, I am very happy. So thank you Payplan

“Help and advice from start to finish!”

★★★★★

written by RaNe7 on 15/10/2012

I initially got in touch with Payplan at the start of 2011 when I had a number of creditors and debts of over £16k. They have very helpful and understanding throughout my Debt Management plan, and 15 months later I am now totally debt free! Making my final payment to them last month. There is a helpful personalised website where you can log in and check the status and balance of your creditors, and they handle all calls and letters which really takes the pressure off. The service is absolutely free so compared to the other companies I'd looked at they're not rip-off merchants like some I'd seen. There are some negative comments about them with regard to interest and misleading people, but they do state that they can't guarantee to freeze interest & charges as it is at the creditors discretion. Also, they state that the 'Estimated Completion Date' is exactly that! An estimation based on the initial debt at the start of the plan. The terms team then contact the creditors periodically to confirm balances and update you to any changes accordingly. Initially my plan lasted two months longer than I was originally given as an estimate, but in the scheme of things if I'd never got in touch with them in the first place I'd still be in a spiral of debt.

Hi I am just about to sign up with payplan, and having read plenty of negative comments, I was just about to give up on the idea of payplan. Having read your comments tho, I am reassured that they will be able to help me out of a very sticky situation from which I can currently see no escape. Can you tell me whether you had to change your bank account, and if you did who did you find to be a good bank as a replacement. I think I will have to change my bank as my overdraft and my loan which is now one month in arrears are both with my bank, so I assume they will shut my accounts down, that is stop me from using it until the debt matter is resolved>> thanks for your advice sally

“PEACE OF MIND”

★★★★★

written by on 02/10/2012

Through a mixture of circumstances I found myself in debt. I tried to deal with it alone, getting nowhere while trying to live on nothing. It reached a point where I had to swallow my pride and ask for help. The constant worry was weighing me down and it was affecting my health. I'm so glad I did and took that step. Everyone I spoke to was lovely, calm and re-assuring. They made me feel human again and for the first time I saw light at the end of the tunnel. I have recommended Payplan to several friends who have all been delighted with their level of service. Anyone out there drowning slowly in a sea of debt, pick up the phone and start living again, Payplan is there to help you.

Before i found Payplan i was working 2 jobs to 'try' to pay off my debts often living on just £10 a week as all spare cash was going to pay my debts which i accumulated from a failed relationship.... Payplan set my mind at ease & dealt with the creditors on my behalf... I often spent time alone crying due to the worry. I am coming to the end of my plan & I cannot thank the team enough!!! I def recommend Payplan to anyone struggling with debts, don't be ashamed if you are in debt!! Thats how i got into so much trouble i was too ashamed to admit i couldn't pay them... The best thing about Payplan is the flexibility & the efficiency... I found i had one debt that i had missed & Payplan dealt with it quickly & added it to my original plan... They are there to help you & not to judge!

“excellent service at a difficult time”

written by gellyminx on 11/06/2012

I am about half way through my debt management plan with paypal plus and have dealt with them since 2006. They have always been very helpful, professional and kind towards me and it is so nice to feel like I have a secure system in place for repaying my debt in a fair manner. I find it very embarrassing talking about my debt but I was never once made to feel uncomfortable by any of their staff. Once your plan is in place and you keep up repayments then you are left alone other than the annual review which is just a quick telephone conversation to revise your budget if required. The website that you can log on to to view your account is also very helpful and it is nice to see your debt coming down. I've never had to pay anything to Payplan Plus for the service, just the repayments themselves. I took out life insurance through them which is £5 per month but I like this as it gives me peace of mind that my debt would be paid in the event of my death. I would not hesitate in recommending payplan plus to anybody who is struggling with debt and is looking for a fair system to repay it.

“Payplan IVA - A Life Saver!”

★★★★★

written by on 06/06/2012

Absolutely 100% recommended. I've been struggling for 15 years to keep up the minimum payments on credit cards that my ex husband maxed out for me. Due to my own foolish pride I couldn't face asking for help so struggled to the point where I didn't know which way to turn. Interest rates sky rocketed to a point where my minimum payments exceeded my income (By Jan 2012 I owed £32,000!) - so ashamed I couldn't tell a soul. What to do? Browsing online I was looking for free help & advice so went to the C.A.B. site. Contacting them was impossible - hours trying to get through on the phone. In desperation I noticed a little ad for Payplan so headed to their home page & read all the small print. Couldn't find any catches so plucked up the courage to call - WHAT A RELIEF... So understanding, non judgemental and totally on my side. Within a couple of weeks my IVA was all set up and the dreaded day for the creditors meeting arrived. I didn't have to attend but waited anxiously by the phone for a call to tell me whether my application was successful. All turned out well and I now pay £100 per month directly to Payplan. They took the whole situation on board and relieved me of all the worry and anxiety. Provided I maintain my £100 per month payments for the next 5 years I will be debt free and £26,000 of my debt will be written off. My advise? Don't wait until suicide is your only viable option, call Payplan immediately.

I had about £9k of debt that I had no chance of clearing. Payplan were recommended to me by Capital One. I contacted them and explained my situation. Once I sent them all the papaerwork they required it took 4 weeks to get my IVA up and running. All my creditors were happy with what they would receive. Payplan are really good people to deal with. They are friendly, non judgemental and give great advice. They do not cream a percentage off the top like a lot of firms do. Their fees are fixed and what ever is left, that is what goes to your creditors. Although my IVA has only just started, Payplan have taken a huge weight off my shoulders and even deal with any nasty letters I get from creditors. I cannot recommend them highly enough. One more thing, they do not have a minimum amount of debt that they will deal with, unlike other firms like Bains & Ernst.

“Very good indeed”

★★★★★

written by on 14/05/2012

I'm at the end of my IVA, just 5 payments to go. Using payplan has saved me from ruined my life with 19.000 debt on my credit cards, since the first month of using payplan i had no more phone calls or letters from my credit cards. I really enjoy the fact that I had to learn how to live with my own means and that is the best result of using payplan, (I cannot ignore the fact that after I finish my IVA, i will have an extra of 190 quid a month. Remember, bankrupcy will damage your credit ratings for years to come, it could be up to 15 years when the IVS will damaged it for about 6 maybe 7 years. Be brave and accept the fact that you have a debt, deal with it and don't run.
