I really like The Pursuit of Happyness - the characters are portrayed excellently and the casting was very good. I think Will Smith is a very good actor as he is versatile and changes his role for nearly every film he has a part in. The film is realistic, moving and well-captured and I would recommend it to anyone! At the end when things start to look up for the characters, I think it would have been nice if they could have carried that on a little bit rather than just ending the film there, but brilliant nevertheless. Overall, it was a gripping, moving film and I couldn't stop watching it! Highly recommended!

I loved the movie, it's one of those that I could watch over and over again and yet it still brings tears to my eyes. The movie also shows how good an actor Will Smith is, because it shows he can change the character he plays, even though in most films he plays a more confident person, it's nice that he changes to suit who he plays. His son Jaden also made a great character, and showed us that he has his father's talent too. I loved the movie and recommend it to most people..!!

The film is all about the pursuit of happiness. Going through a marriage breakdown, living on the streets with his son and working for nothing in the hope of a job as a stock broker at the end of it. I'm sorry but I hated this film. It was very well acted and Will Smith's son was excellent but I would have liked to see just a little bit of actual happiness. OK so he got the job at the end but I have never been so depressed watching a movie.

I think in The Pursuit of Happyness, Will Smith gives his best performance so far. He is an impoverished father, who though massively intelligent, is struggling in his self employed career, selling medical equipment.
He basically earns an unpaid scholarship as a stock broker and it seems that everything that could go wrong, does go wrong for him as he fights to win a job in the firm.
This is one of those stereotypical inspirational, tear in the eye films, with an ending just as predictable as y ...

A heartwarming insight to cruel parts of life experienced by so many in different walks of life, e.g. homelessnes. A touching and yet moving story of not only a struggle for success, but a quest for inner peace and most of all happiness.

I did enjoy this film but I thought there were some parts that could have been at a bit quicker pace. That said, Will Smith offers what I think is his best performance as a down on his luck father who just needs a break. Well worth seeing.
