I went to this holiday park - Honicombe Manor in October with some trepidation having read some other negative reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised. We went with Hoseasons and the standard of the accomodation was superb. It was very spacious and nice and warm in the wet weather that we had. Can't believe that we only paid £127 for this (large discount)

The facilities were limited but there is so much to see and do round there as it is possible to visit both Devon and Cornwall. We went to Dartmoor National Park and even managed Newquay which was about 1.5 hours away.

I wouldn't have any hestitation in booking here again.

Booked through Hoseasons, so maybe they have minimum standards because our Valley Lodge was great. Nicely decorated, looked like recently refurbished with 2 excellent bathrooms and well equipped kitchen whivh had fridge, full freezer and dishwasher. The private hot tub on the decking was brilliant. Facilities on site were limited as both shop and restaurant closrd and bar opening only some evenings. For a quiet break though, with a big discount for booking online, cant faulkt it.

We arrived at Honicombe Manor on the monday for a much needed 4 night break. We had a look at the bungalow and i personally felt sick with disappointment. We got back in the car and went all the way back home!! The bungalow was adequate but its surroundings including several 'permanent' residents gave the holiday park a rather run-down and dilapidated feeling. The lady in reception was very understanding and apologised, offering us another bungalow but it was just the same. I can hardly belie ...

I have had two lovely holidays here. We stayed at Seagull Lodge a privately owned property and it was great. The lodge itself is nicely decorated, well equipped and maintained, the Honicombe manor and facilities are all good and the kids in particular loved the indoor pool, espsecially on the rainy days! I agree with others that there is room for improvement on the site in general but for me as it is means it isn't too busy, even during peak times. The location (and views from Lodge) is stunnin ...

Honicombe Manor is a superb lodge with great facilities, greeted with a friendly welcome. Reception eager to help with any queries but opening times of bar could be extended.

I loved the surroundings of the resort (excellent for walking the dogs) and there were plenty of things for us to do there and in surrounding areas.

Arrived Sat and left on Monday. I would not stay for the week. Bar staff can close bar if not viable on the night. On the Sunday I arrived at the bar at 2010 hours and it was already closed. The nearest bar/pub is a short drive away but not walkable. Likewise you could have had a few drinks and then the bar shuts and you would have to take the car out. Taxi's, forget it.

A premium rate was charged but the service was in general well below average. I hope but do not expect that the operators read this. This holiday park is a squandered opportunity. A little energy and spending would bring it up to a respectable standard.

Accomodation very poor for price paid - our roof leaked and caved in while we were there - we were moved but completely ruined holiday. Whole site neglected - main manor house restaurant was grubby. Accomodation very small and furniture/amenities in very poor condition generally.

We booked Honicombe Manor privately with the owner of one of the properties and were told that passes for leisure facilities were not a problem. However on arrival this proved not to be the case. It appears that there are long running disputes between the owners of the park and some of the individual property owners. We tried to approach the management of the park to buy passes direct, but they refused point blank and told us that not only could we not use the pool but also all the other facilit ...

We found that the resort was well kept and all the staff really friendly with plenty to do and the entertainment was really good in the evening for the children. The local area has so much to offer. We thought the resort was reasonably priced.
Being on the Devon and Cornwall border you have the best of both counties with so much around and to do. Plenty to tire the kids out.

I expected better quality for the money at Honicombe Manor, St Anns. The accommodation was adequate but again I expected a lot more for the price I paid. The units were lacking in security features and the management didn't seem to know what they were doing and there was a general feeling of neglect around the site which does have a lot of undeveloped potential. Walking around the local country lanes with children and dogs was extremely hazardous due to the volume of inordinately fast drivers lo ...
