    we had one weeks holiday park resort lower hyde silver accomadation the caravan was filthy the outdoor swimming pool wasnt opened until thursday am seagull nesting in laundrette had to chase staff up for keys the roads a round the caravans were unsafe for children to walk staff very unhelpful we conplained on the site staff didnt want to know we have wrote and conplained know we are home offered money off holiday out of season what good is that with kids told dont want to commincate with us again never conplained about a holiday before vote with your money holiday elsewhere as i am sure the man on the telly does.

    after visiting a park resorts site at thorness bay on the Isle of White we booked for the following year at lower hyde...what a mistake, compared with our previous holiday this was very poor. the caravan was filthy and the wife spent first day cleaning. the pool was filthy also but thought it best not to get the wife to clean that..
    the entertainment in the club was dire and the kids were bored to death..
    and to be honest i would have sacked the lot.
    i won't be using park resorts ever again. th ...

    Well what can I say BRILL! We visited Lower Hyde for four nights in early August and had a lovely time. Facilities eg shower blocks etc very clean and modern and were always being cleaned. Staff very young enthusiastic and helpful especially with the children I dont know where they get their energy!

    The shop wasnt too dear but right next door there is a ldls. The food in the on site restaurant bit pricy best going in to Shanklin town lots of places too eat and would recomend ice cream parlour ...

    Park Resort, Lower Hyde, IOW
    We had a good holiday only because we love the IOW and we were in Signature Lodges, which were good, although the gates were never closed. My only complaints were no bedside lights or bins in bathrooms or bedrooms.
    My son and daughter in law were not so lucky as in silver caravan (nothing like the website), it was filthy and infested with flys. They complained and were put in another silver caravan, just as bad but no flies. Luckily they came to our lodge first th ...

    Just come back from a 5 night holiday to Lower Hyde July 09. Please excuse bad spelling etc, is very late and should be in bed!

    We had upgraded to a gold caravan but when we got into it it was filthy. Carpets and sofa stained, broken toilet seat, no loo roll holder, spider egg had hatched and there were tiny spiders and big webs inside caraven approx 40! Sink would have made you sick if you had used anything washed up in it. spills on work tops. Inside fridge broken, double mattress was soo ...

    We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at Lower Hyde with my Wife, son (10) and daughter (7). We had quite a nice time, especially the kids, considering that we were unsure what to expect based on the varying reviews that I read prior to booking.

    We had a shed load of Tecso Clubacrd vouchers to spend so we decided to book a week away with Park Resorts and booked a Signature Lodge, which I have to say, was a 5 Star accommodation. With 42 ' plasma TV, full size fridge freezer, washin ...

    caravan was clean and tidy at park resorts, lower hyde. not alot to do swimming pool has 1 shower for male and females and kids which is very wrong

    I love this site, we have been to other supposedly better sites but you can not beat the staff here for friendliness, whether it is reception, security or entertainment team. The site is situated in Shanklin, so you have the Chines, lovely shops and about a 20 min walk to the beach. I shall continue to enjoy this site for many years hopefully!!!

    I Found Lower Hyde was a really great place to stay and there are so many things to do and I just love it. Umm not many bad points just that the cafe is a bit scruffy & the inside pool is to small and the outside pool is to shallow & The Shower block is a bit dirty but i can handle it x I go around 3 times or more a year. I love Lower Hyde they get loads of new people to meet and I love the facilities & accommodation.

    Good points, it was on the Isle of White with loads of things to do. Bad points the park was dirty, accommodation scruffy, the restaurant was without a doubt the worst place in the world to eat in my opinion, so much food on the floor you couldn't get to the tables.

    We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday at the Isle of Wight, staying at the Park Resorts Lower Hyde camp. This was our first stay with Park Resorts and yes, we were impressed!

    This was actually our second choice of park, our first choice, Nodes Point, was fully booked for June July AND August when we tried booking way back in January 2007! Had we not known that Nodes Point is actually a little better than this one (we stayed there many years ago when it was owned by Haven Holidays ...
