    Good Points: Nice feel in the hand, control layout and near silent film transport. Eye control if you persevere with the calibration. Brilliant image quality. Accepts all EF lenses so the world is your oyster.


    Bad Points: Eye control not to everyone's taste, only 7 AF points but then you need to buy the EOS 3 to get anything better


    General comments: Bought a used Canon EOS-30 with the optional battery grip - great camera to hold and use, especially with the extra grip. Eye control isn't everyones cup of tea but if you persevere with the calibration it works remarkably well, as you might expect from Canon. I bought mine as a bit of an experiment back into film, having used digital SLRs for years and having a range of Canon L lenses and a EOS5d.
