Make sure you save everything in writing. They will bully you into renewal. Now that we have received several calls from them - We are pretty sure that the salesmen are trained to slam the phones on their customers. The system is a con and of course. “7 years and still pleased with what it does”

I've been on the City-Visitor site for 7 years now and haven't had any problems. The people I've dealt with have been polite and friendly and I get good value for my money and some decent enquiries which means it more than pays for itself. Worth a punt as part of your online marketing. (read more)

As you can see from all the previous reviews, aggressive sales people, scare tactics, bullies, poor business model and bad website. Avoid City Visitor like you business depends on it - it does. (read more)

To all city-visitor "Business customers"..Every company should clearly explain HIGHLIGHT or read out to you(if over the phone),their T & C, and explain cancellation terms CLEARLY.you usually have to agree either verbally by saying YES or in writing. in any case, T & C have to be explained to you. If you paid by credit card, call the Credit Card Company as the total payment was over £100.They will investigate and revoke the payment if found to be appropriate. speaking from experience. :-(... Watch out for 5% refunds!!
Be warned

I once was a customer of http://www.city-visitor.com/ But had some concerns when I tried to cancel my subscription after two hours of them accepting payment.

I couldn't get hold of the sales man after that and was told I would only get 5% back as a refund by customer service...

Wow! I've had a great 4 years with City Visitor.

The sales team WILL call, and yes... often.

Other than that though, I found them to be honest, informative and very usefull.

The backlinks I've recieved from City Visitor have been sufficient to optimise my website, and I got them at a far cheaper price than I was being offered by SEO companies.

Maybe, because I make sales calls as part of my business, I didn't mind the sales calls.

It's a shame that I could not score them lower than 1 star!! They really are a bunch of con-artists. I advertised with them for 2 years but then decided to leave them. At this point the sales staff became very rude and a lot of high pressure phone calls followed. I resisted all of them and after I told them no for the 5th time I told them not to call me back. Contacted City Visitor as they advertise a free listing with their service. I then received several high pressure sales telephone calls to have paid advertising with them. I then received another sales call and I asked if I could just have the free listing with them. The salesman became rude and argumentative.
