I informed Virgin Travel Insurance on the 7th December that my wife had broken her femur and we wouldn’t be able to take our holiday on the 23rd December, the forms were sent out and I completed the forms and returned them the claim was agreed and the money was in my bank by the 22nd of December A brilliant service I would recommend them to anyone.

Due to an unexpected health problem & on doctors advice - we regrettably had to submit a holiday cancellation insurance claim to Virgin money. We sent them a medical certificate from our GP,bank statements showing deposits paid, & holiday booking & cancellation invoices. We received the refund we expected promptly & with no queries. Hats off to Virgin Money for trusting our totally genuine claim & not causing us any stress by trying to delay settlement. We would recommend them wholeheartedly !

“Holiday cancelled due to injury 2 weeks before flying.”

Virgin travel insurance. ( Travel Claim services ) We had to cancel our 2 week all inclusive holiday after our son badly broke his arm needing surgery exactly 2 weeks before we were due to fly. We rang Virgin to tell them the consultant had signed him as unfit to fly and the operator on the phone was extremely helpful. They emailed us the documents we needed instantly and told us over the phone exactly what we needed to do. We had to get our own Dr to fill out a medical questionnaire and then send in proof of the holiday payment via bank statements - proof of holiday and booked seats confirmation. There was a tick sheet so you could tick off everything they required as you put it in the envelope for posting. 8 weeks later we have received a full refund minus £100 per person ( excess ) and APD tax ( which you have to claim from the holiday company ) Everything was straight forward took a little longer than expected but we knew the payment was coming so not really a problem for us. Thank you for an excellent, professional service. We have used Virgin travel insurance for a number of years without ever needing to claim and the one time we have needed too in these circumstances they delivered excellent customer service.

I would like to thank all the team who helped me with my insurance when my grandson took Ill on holiday for dealing with our hotel medical bills and get us back home and keeping in touch with me to see how we where and calling me to see if we got home safely many thanks as I have never experienced anything like that when been on holiday so it was reasurric to you had virgin holiday insurance looked after us.

My daughter was stuck in a hospital in Cambodia, without enough cash to pay her bill. Despite the fact that she had not gone to a Virgin recommended hospital, the staff at Virgin were amazing. I had no joy contacting the British Consulate, but Virgin spoke to the clinic, arranged immediate payment of her bill, dealt with generally unhelpful hospital administrators and could not have been more helpful. They showed compassion, initiative and went over and above with their support. I am absolutely delighted that I chose this policy. (A choice based on similar service when my son was rushed to hospital in Turkey.)

My 93 year old Mother-in-law was admitted to hospital with pneumonia 2 weeks prior to a cruise we had booked in November 12.Unfortunately due to her serious condition the holiday had to be cancelled. From my own experience Virgin Travel Insurance handled the claim quickly - within 4 weeks of me completing the documentation and submitting it. I waited nearly as long for the Doctor to complete the medical certificate in the first place!

I bought virgin worldwide travel insurance. Unfortunately I could not go on my planned holiday due to a member of my family being ill 4 weeks before my trip. When I contacted virgin, I spoke to an exceptionally helpful and empathetic call adviser over the telephone who talked me through the claim process and then posted and emailed me the relevant forms the same day. The forms were easy to fill in and from my point of view, no irrelevant or difficult to produce documents were requested for the claim form. Once I sent the form back, my claim was settled efficiently within 2 weeks and I received a cheque from them. I was very impressed with their customer service and I can not fault them at all. I would recommend them and I will definitely be renewing my insurance with virgin when the time comes.

“Great support and very easy claim process”

We bought Worldwide Cover to include the USA. Very reasonable price for 2 people - could not find a better price. We had a medical problem while on holiday and the Travel Nurse and Case Manager were very friendly and understanding. They followed up a couple of days later to see how we were going. The claim process was very simple, straight forward and easy to do. Our claim was paid out without any problems within a week of submitting the claim. Very very happy and will always use Virgin Money from now.

Picked up a stomach bug in Turkey and spent the day in hospital on a drip, blood tests done and medicine prescribed. Submitted all the documentation to Virgin Travel Insurance, no squabbles, no queries, just received the cheque paying the costs I incurred of £502 in full, less the £50 excess of course. Fantastic

having had to cancel our holiday to orlando due to a sudden health condition within a week of travel virgin insurance were very helpful and we received our mpney back with 3 weeks. I found the staff very helpful and friendly in this very difficult time. Considering it was peak season and they had a large volume of claims the service we received was second to none i would definatley use them again and recommend them to a friend.

“Excellent and fast claim pay out”

I have never needed to claim on travel insurance before. Got sick in Egypt and had to call a doctor to my room. Needed a saline drip and a few injections, then aftercare medicines and a follow up appointment. Telephoned Virgin from Egypt to report it and claim forms were at home when we got back. Within 2 weeks I've received the cheque for the full amount (less the excess). The only downfall was how much the excess was, £150! My fault, I should have checked it when I sorted it out. Excellent service and if the excess was lower I would use it again. I also have a Virgin Credit card and that is brilliant!

Maybe I don't understand insurance however when an insurance states you are insured for £15 million for accidental injury why would cost be an issue?
