The first impressions having booked the holiday were good with quick e-mail follow up. From then on it goes downhill. Not all the paperwork arrives. The hotel description is not 100% accurate and with airline, hotel ownership and transfer agents all different third parties with no apparent process management from Hays you trust to luck that everything works. ditto, went with them to vegas & LA and the same as you , no transfer when we got to LA but guess what same as you my fault not theirs & it cost us $230 they said they had sent us vouchers by e.mail but nothing came my way. They are very good at getting out of complaints perhaps they run courses in it (chaired by Dick Turpin), they have a plaster for every sore. If anyone else reads this please dont use Hays Travel.

I went to Menorca with Hays last year, we booked 8 mths before because we only wanted to go to Cala Galdana as we were going in August and my family have problems with burning in the sun. The day before the holiday Hays rang to say the hotel was overbooked and we had to go to a different resort, Son Bou, which was miles away and very open and bleak. “Was overcharged £40 and when we called to enquire...”

Was overcharged £40 and when we called to enquire there was no one able to explain it to us and we got the usual evasive, difficult, obnoxious, ignorant call centre staff that you would expect with a budget company.

They were at the time of booking though by far the cheapest around, but my advice would be to pay the extra 10% for a more reputable company because this lot could really ruin your summer if you had serious problems.
