    Good Points: Food quantities.

    I gave up booking with this lot as they were always late. Never in four flights did I arrive back at Gatwick in time to catch a train home because XL were so late the trains had stopped for the night.

    Flew with XL Airways from Manchester to Sandford 31st July 2008 returned today 15th August. I had read all the previous reviews and basically was dreading the flights and expecting the worst. I travelled with my husband and 2 children we found XL organised, the check-in was effortless. The cabin crew were courteous and helpful, they brought me extra water when I was experiencing turbulence fears.     Food on board XL Airways is both very expensive and limited in supply. There were only 5 available meals of the main hot meal for the whole flight. This wasn't just an isolated incident as it was the same on the way back too!!!

    Made every effort to be punctual in spite of air traffic control problems. Staff friendly. Very competitive flight prices.
    Food and drink on board XL flights seems low priority at times! Eat up beforehand or bring your own supplies on board.

    If there is an alternative then I'd choose it!! You have been warned. XL make RyainAir look like Virgin in my opinion!

    Would never fly with XL again and will inform everyone I know. We were only given 15kgs luggage allowance inc hand luggage? and were stung with £100 charge both ways! and the majority of the other people flying with us had the same charge. The only thing for free on this flight was water. If the next holiday I book use XL as a carrier I would cancel my holiday!

    Thank you XL airways, your stewards and captain were all good, your flight to Cyprus was clean and trouble free, coffee was hot ,as first time fliers you've done us proud.

    I booked 4 tickets from Bristol to Palma 9 months before we flew. When we arrived at the airport we found that the original baggage allowance of 20 kg had been reduced on May 1st to 15 kg. We had not received any notification of this change at all.
    Luckily the total excess weight was 5 kg and this cost £35. We left behind some items in Majorca to achieve the 15 kg each on return. I feel that this is a sharp business practice.

    If this airline cannot stick to it's schedule, it should not advertise their flight times! In my expereince terrible airline and advise anyone to avoid at all costs.

    Dublin - Mykonos - Dublin. Firstly flight was delayed for one hour going out, which really isn't a problem except when you hear it's for 'operational reasons', which doesn't instill confidence. So we get on the plane and sit in the tightest fitting seats I have ever been on (I have traveled extensively around the world for over 20 years). As the plane was chartered from Canada, all announcements had to be in English and French - whoever thought up that rule needs their head examined!

    Very bad service, terrible, it may have been a cheap flight but no one deserved to be treated the way we were. I would never recommend xl flights to anyone. Our flight was delayed for 22 hours because a problem with the plane. And then we were taken from reus airport to the borders of france, a two hour bus journey.     We have travelled on XL Airways before. We booked to fly with XL Airlines but now find out that we will be flying with Euro Cypria airlines. I feel that this should have been mentioned when we booked. Its like booking with Virgin and then flying Easy Jet, not good enough. I will not be booking with xl again

    On time !!! Both ways. Plane was cleanish. Lovely pilot that chatted away to us. The chief steward was a loud mouthed young lady who like the sound of her own voice !
    If you are flying to Kos then be prepared to sit on the runway at the other end for an hour as XLS wings are so big we had to wait for the other XL to depart before we could get off. But I was so happy to be in Kos I didnt care. After reading the reviews on here before we flew to Kos from Gatwick last Aug I dreaded the flight. But ...

    On the flight from Gatwick to Antigua, they had run out of the entertainments systems by the time they got to us, we then found the gluten free meal we had ordered did not materialise, so long flight for my husband with no food. The flight was very uncomfortable, I'm sure the chairs are shorter to come home.     The flight was on time the food was great the seats was as comfy as a bed plenty of room I would definitely recommend this airline to anyone - a must. Anyone who says this airline is bad must see this review. I would defently use this airline again and Egypt was great.

    I appreciate XL is a budget airline but there has to be some standards to cling onto wouldn't it be good to hear that xl were the best budget airline! I am afraid they are no where near!
    This was my first flight for some years it will be my last with XL.

    This was the worst flight I have ever been on. This was a 9 hour flight with minimal leg room and very uncomfortable. The air hostesses were very rude and when I asked for a cup of tea they rudely said no. Then to top it all off, on the flight home from Orlando, we were delayed because the back door had broken and they made everyone sit on the plane for 1.5 hours whilst they fixed it.
