    I purchased this car as nearly new, was a little doubtful about the engine size after reading some review, however for the driving i do, i cannot report any issues, the Volkswagen Touareg 2.5 TDI car is comfortable and able to deal with my personal needs, i.e drive to ski resorts loaded up, take 2 dogs out.

    Having owned a number of 4x4s I can safely the VW Touareg is the closest thing to perfection I have ever owned. I use my Touareg for off-road bush work in the game reserves on the east coast of South Africa. Sand, rocks and rivers present no obsticle. Anything more powerful than the 2.5TDI would probably be a waste and get you stuck by digging in. On road it comfortably keeps up with the traffic.

    As an owner I believe it is a very good 4x4. Having previously owning a Range Rover I believe the Touareg is more sporty and easier to see out of in the city. The Touareg is very big but is also very useful. Definitely recommend the car.

    The Volkswagen Touareg is best new 4x4 on the market in terms of price, handling, performance and specs.
    Smooth comfortable ride, high spec interior with nice touches like footwell lights and plenty of storage.
