General comments: I booked 2 flights with Goldtrail on 2nd August. Had written confirmation from them a couple of days later, no money was taken from my account so I called them albeit a couple of weeks later! They informed me my booking was cancelled due to a problem with payment (Paid with debit card with more than sufficient funds in). They claimed to have tried to contact me with now response, the email address they sent confimation to but no email received. I asked why they didn't call, they don't need to as the email gets sent automatically? I could however rebook the same flight at a higher cost. I own a place in turkey that i rent out and travel out 2 or 3 times a year and will certainly urge anyone to not book directly with Goldtrail.

Should have listened to all the negative reviews on Goldtrail Holidays, I cannot get through to this company, only one number to call for bookings and administration queries, kept hanging on for hours, yes really, hours. I have also emailed haven't seen a reply... will NEVER book with them again, if you want customer service I would NOT BOOK WITH GOLDTRAIL! I booked the transfer from milas into gumbet after booking my flight. once i got to gumbet, i had to go to an internet cafe to get access to a pc. contacted goldtrail and asked them to contact the gumbet office to ensure my name was on for my return journey after. They are difficult to get hold of, don't communicate. I booked in April with Gold Trail Holidays for flights on Aug 13th.
Tickets arrived sat August 2nd, on Monday Aug 4th, told flights had changed on june 10th. Don't remember receiving any prior notification, also told no alternative flights from Bristol on same day were available we had to have a refund.
There is no customer service, their phone line is poor to use. I would avoid at all costs.

We booked a holiday through Goldtrail Holidays few days before, had not received my confirmation, contacted them waited ages on phone (half hour). Went to Altinkum, hotel was okay what you expect for a 2 star, problem being that it was right on a main road, at a very busy crossroad, so nothing but noise, if you kept your doors closed it was not too bad, but having an explosion of electric box burning down, we had no electric for over three days, so imagine the heat it was very hot, no cold drink ...

January 23rd 2008 booked a flight to Antalya from Liverpool John Lennon Airport through Travel Republic.
At the time of booking, we were not offered the facility to pay a deposit with the balance later, but had to pay the full amount.
On the same day I booked the executive lounge at Liverpool Airport.
When we returned from holiday on June 20th we had a number of emails including this one additional fuel surcharge, The balance payment of £29.24 for your booking was due by 13 Jun 2008.

Flight times changed 2 weeks before holiday, we had taken our grandson away and did not want a night flight but ended up with the return flight coming back at 05.25am. I stayed at the Litera Relax, Ichmeler. Had a lovely time, the staff etc were all lovely. Everyone from the cleaners to the waiters were always cheerful and polite.The rooms were nice & clean & I even had a balcony. Our rep was great, nothing was too much trouble for her and she was always lovely even when people were shouting & yelling at her for things she couldn't help.
Overall I had a great time. I just also would like to praise the staff in the hairdressers/beauty salon attached to the hote ...

Very hard to find good points. If any the hotel did try but without success ie no lifts for ten days.
A very poor holiday in my experience and I didnt find Goldtrail helpful to improve it, pleased I was a regular traveller so could sort myself out hard luck if you couldnt in my opinion.

We stayed in the Grand Saral hotel Ismeler last year [2007] had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, had use of two other hotels as it was part of the Abacus group, but think we had the best deal, as all entertainment was held in the larger hotel which is just across the road, our hotel was always very peaceful, the carpets were a bit frayed, but please don't judge this hotel by first glance, after all the price was fantastic! and was always clean. Booked this holiday as it was all inclusive arrived at the hotel to find the air con was payable upon arrival the drinks were in my opinion were watered down all cocktails were payable the food you wouldn't give your own dog to eat the hotel was part of the Litera chain and our hotel was the La Luna in Gumbet stay well clear these hotels are rubbish

Recently went via Goldtrail to Dalyan Ozalp Hotel Apts. Tickets all arrived on good time, given plenty of information hotel was as we expected and great location efficient friendly staff Goldtrail supplied us with all the paperwork and arranged pick ups and departures that were right on time with helpful and friendly drivers. Traveled with Goldtrail ( unknowingly as booked through Expedia )
The flight was with OnurAir - it was 2 hrs delayed going out and 1 1/2 hour delayed returning. Too hot for me, overbooked flight. Inflight service was poor in my opinion and I was not happy with the drinks the staff were serving.
Long transfer with mandatory comfort break of 30 mins which nobody wanted. Clearly set up as a "fleecing opportunity" for the local Turkish service station to sell refreshments and who charged for the use ...

Booked flights months before to Turkey. Canceled with days to go. No offer of compensation. 12 months later still no sign of money despite several "cheque is in the post" as far as I am concerned.
Will never book Goldtrail again. Ruined our planned holiday with friends in my opinion.
