Net-a-porter's customer service is outstanding. I've purchased a lot of products from this company and I have rarely, if ever, been disappointed with the service, the merchandise, or the quality of each. It is a VERY reliable place to shop online, if you can afford any of the merchandise. However, net-a-porter's product line and website is largely driven by cutting-edge fashion and trends. Based on the products available and the information provided on the website (e.g., stylists' picks, editors' picks and must-haves, etc.), their target market seems to be very affluent people who do not work in conservative and corporate work environments. I mean - the only people who can wear most of the clothes available on net-a-porter.com are well-established (and very well paid) stylists and editors working in the fashion industry. Many of the clothes are much too expensive and they can never be worn at most jobs outside of fashion, because they are too "avant garde", if you will. I don't want clothes that I can't wear to work, but I also want to wear very stylish and modern clothes, and only a few trends. I wish more fashion designers would at least try to strike a balance and consider those of us who are not in the front rows of their fashion shows each season. Most of us can't afford $2,000 or even $200 dresses, especially in this economy, or clothes that look like they should be in a museum somewhere instead of on a person's body. But if you have unlimited amounts of money or you're spending yourself into bankruptcy, net-a-porter.com and similar websites are the right places to go.

Bought a Karl by Karl Lagerfeld dress in Net-a-Porter's recent sale. Dress arrived beautifully packaged and in good time. Oh and it fits perfectly thanks to the handy size guide in product information - sometimes a pain to track where other sites keep their size guides! So far so good for me!

Loved the Stella McCartney bra. I ordered one size larger than usual based on comments on website. How disappointing I could not come close to fastening it. My petite friend could not hook it on her tiny little self. Return was simple and staff could not have been more helpful.
