Good Points: 10x Zoom is fantastic, Macro is great.
Bad Points: Battery life. No view finder, screen difficult in bright sun.
General comments: Only had it a few weeks. Easy to learn how to use. You will get over 400 pictures on a 1 GB card at 5m pix fine setting. Recommended.

I was recommended this camera by a friend who has one to accompany his digital SLR. I have a Canon digital too but wanted a bigger optical zoom. The Panasonic TZ-1 has been outstanding, is well built & is now my number one choice. As I learn more about it I find features that I would never have understood before. The manual takes you through each step & is clear & concise.
