My family and I have known Pets R Wright my whole life, they are all extremely friendly and helpful people, have gone out of their way to help us when we have been stuck.
The fish and birds are absolutley excellent quality, and despite that the only rabbit I bought from them died at an early age, it doesnt change my opinion of them.
The parrots are not left overnight

I have been shopping at Pets R Wright for over 15 years. I have always found the animals kept in clean conditions and never looked stressed. The previous review mentioned parrots in small cages, I have always observed many parrots on top on cages or stands for exercise with plenty of toys and stimulation from customers and staff. On reading reviews of this store it makes me angry, I know the staff from shopping at Pets R Wright over the years and I'm aware of the hard work and time they put in t ...

I personally feel that all the folk that has slammed this store have to be out of their minds.
I purchase all my parrots from Pets R Wright, never had a health issue, all my parrots are happy. You pay for quality and these birds are nothing but.
You guys get my praise for sure.

So many things that were wrong - Scores of such young looking baby greys, begging for food, crammed into 'state of the art' glass viewing cages. A solitary perch and nothing more. A miserable looking hen eclectus in a small cage in the middle of a busy walkway

Extremely impressed with this store! We purchased a hand-reared African Grey from this store - without a doubt the parrots at this store are the friendliest that I have ever seen. You will often find that Greys are wary of people that they don't know but the ones in this store came hopping right over and would let anybody pet them. I think that, as with anything, you get what you pay for - we spent a great deal of time looking for the right parrot for us and without a doubt we found it at Pets R ...

I purchased a hamster from pets r wright in february, it was my first hamster and they told me nothing they just passed me my hamster in a box and that was it, in early march my hamster died so i will never be purchasing from them.
i now go to pets at home near BnQ they are very helpful and let you know everything about the pet you are buying, and give a guarantee on them even if they die.

Animals kept in sub-standard accomodation for their specific requirements. Nocturnal creatures kept in brightly lit 'boxes' with no hides, parrots kept in enclosures way too small for their requirements and placed inappropriately within the store. Incorrect diets being fed to a variety of species... the list goes on.
I was utterly disgusted, and felt very angry that this place is allowed to trade in livestock, when they quite clearly know so little about the species that they keep needs.

I purchased a 'boy' rat from Pets R Wright, which turned out to be a girl rat, and probably pregnant from being in a tank with several males!
When I returned to the store a week later when I found out, the manager was very unhelpful and said "it happens". He refused to even offer a reduced price cage for her, as she could not go in with my boys as planned! I felt this was the least they could do!!
They offered no advice when I purchased the rat either, and merely provided a so-called 'inf ...

I've recently decided to buy myself a tropical fish tank, and knowing nothing about fish, I decided to do some research to ensure I did it the right way. It so happens that there's a lot more to fish keeping than buying a tank and some goldfish and setting it all up in the same day.
Some 6 months ago my mum purchased a tank and 3 goldfish from Pets R Wright, which they happily sold her. She set it up the same day and added the fish the same day. One fish has since died, and the remaining two ...
