The Roberts Sound MP23 equaliser settings need changing to give less emphasis on the bass frequencies. As it is the bass frequencies are excessively emphasised.
Other than this:
- the player communicates well with an IPOD plugged in to the USB port.
- it handles music/voice from a memory card too
- easy to use and the remote functions well and the battery life is good.
Generally reasonable value for money.

Loved the fact that as well as being an iPod doc it also has fm and dab radio and has a cd player. The sound is excellent quality. It also looks fab. It comes with a selection of ipod docs to ensure a good fit. I would strongly recommend this product. It is easy to use. Its small so fits anywhere and fills the room with big sound! Never used my ipod so much! (read more)

A review of Roberts Sound MP23 - Terrible reception, poor aerial design, sound not as great as I was expecting - constant fuzzy background noises made when playing CD's.
Disappointing that the MP3 connectivity was not compatible with my 3 different MP3 players. The aerial connection is very fiddly with no apparent alternative method of getting better reception on FM and DAB.

Bought this for use in our kitchen as a replacement for a JVC CD/Radio that I've had for years. It's very well built, looks good and delivers an incredible sound! Feature wise it has analogue and DAB tuners, plays CD's (including MP3's) and also has a slot for SD cards with MP3's on- not something we use, but may come in handy one day. Most of the functions are controlled from a neat little remote control, including a 5 position 'equaliser' from which you can select pop, rock, classic,... (read more)
