As an old school eater of the L.P biscuit I fondly remember a nice thick lemon filling that was 90% of the taste. The filling was mostly the fun bit along with the glaze. What we have now is a rizla paper amount of lemon scraped across the puff that is so useless it feels like chewing a dry rusk. Comeon Jacobs! Stop trying to save money and cut corners and give the customer what they want instead of trying to save a buck! Im never going back!

The supposedly improved Lemon Puff biscuits are an abomination, they bear no resemblance either in texture flavour or acceptability to the originals recipe.I certainly will not buy any more.

i completely agree with ronjondig. The lemon puffs you buy today are awful. the original ones were soft and flakey, and with a lovely lemon filling. I bought a pack of the new ones, and thought they were tasteless. They were more like a rich tea biscuit with an insipid filling.

Jacobs's Lemon Puff are little round slices of heaven are simply a must have for any biscuit devotee. The almost brittle, crumbly sugar-glazed puff pasty biscuit compliments the smoothness of the sweet and tangy lemon paste. the classic sandwich design is most entertaining, and provides for a number of different ways to eat your puff. Although at times the paste can be spread a little thin or slightly off center, these are minor flaws in an otherwise highly professional and thoroughly enjoyable ...

When I am hungry at tea time, I long for a couple of Jacob's lemon puffs. They are tangy and not too sweet - the best biscuit that I know. It's a shame the sandwich can break easily if you are not careful with the packet.

Jacobs Lemon Puff''s were at one time the best, good puff pastry, a good coating of sugar glaze, and a nice covering of lemon flavored cream paste in between, and nearly square, oh how nice they were.
What have we today, an attempt to manufacture puff pastry in biscuit form which is hard and disgusting, a spot of what someone calls lemon paste, and to drive in the final nail it is round. I buy my Lemon Puff's online now waiting and hoping that Jacobs will make Lemon Puff's like they were, again ...
