Great cruiser, belt drive for smoother ride.Better than a Harley, cheaper, more reliable in our weather(n.ireland)big tyres, chunky bike which sounds meaty, cheaper parts than a Harley but my Yamaha Wildstar has never let me down

Super reliability from this V-twin Yamaha donk. Looks 'so' cool and while not being a Harley is about as close as you can get to a Softail or Fatboy without the extra $10k (Aus).
I love this bike. As a 50+ year old rider returning to motorcycling after 30 years this is the ideal ride - smooth, controlled and gets heads turning. I've got my wife (who has never been a motorcyclist) getting her own bike to join me cruising on lazy weekends. Yamaha XV1600's rock!

I started driving on a Kawasaki 450 ltd, then I drove a Yamaha Dragstar classic 1100, a Honda Shadow C3 1100 and now I drive the best motor ever which can compare in cruiserworld whith any other brand. I had a lot of testdrives on every famous brands before I decided to buy one. It is super, it is great, it is amazing, it's the best.

It € s a great bike if you can lift and ride it and be able to push it backwards to get it on the road. If you have a slanted drive like myself. That said the gears were too long in 1st to 3rd. it vibrate badly in up to 4th gears. In towns and fuel economy was dreadful. 60 mls in town runs. On long haul 150 was the best I had. But fair play all bikes have faults and wildstar as its.

I own a Yamaha Wildstar and love everything about it. It is a very heavy bike and has a lot of power in it. It's not the fastest bike in the world but then again it was never built or designed to be. I've never had a problem with mine, and that is a first for me!

I wanted a Harley type V twin but not at their prices and lets face it every man and his dog wants a Harley like every school boy wants a spitfire to fly. I love it to bits and it sure turns heads. The front end doesn't like the wet so use the best tires. Heated grips can be got from bike shops for around £80 and well worth it. In all the big V twin write ups I've read it was the quickest over the standing quarter mile. My mate has a Harley with stage 2 head and I can keep with him all day ...

After owning an 1100 classic I decided I wanted to stay with Yamaha reliability and looks but up the touring comfort a little - After covering 24,000 miles in 4 years in extreme comfort on the 1100 the XV1600 was going to have a tough act to follow but I know the Wildstar has what it takes.
