I can only compare this product and the service that goes with it to our previous service provider but this should tell you that at least one similar product and one service provider for this similar product is better than this product.

I Cannot In good conscience recommend this product or any other product and service our company purchased from this company.

Our company recently decided to switch all of are copy, scan, print, and fax equipment to Xerox so that all are branches could be serviced by the same company nationwide. Since this transformation has taken place our office has been plagued with problems including the following. New equipment with less functionality than are old equipment, 3 and 4 times the response time for service, excessive wait for repairs (week or better), problems with equipment going unresolved after service, and excessive breakdowns.

Although the Xerox 8400N printer is a very good, reliable, quality printer, it seems to have problems just outside warranty. The Xerox tech support are only interested in replacing print heads, which is costly, as it is the main component, rather than finding the exact problem.
