I bought my mossberg 500 410 pump for gophers and unwanted squirrels round the bird feeder it has to be some of the best value/money spent in the last few years also works awesome if you want to chase a bunny or two on sunday afternoon would definetly recommend one of these guns to friends very satisfied with my mossberg.......Thanks (read more)

Absolutly love this gun, I have the moderated version for Vermin (rat) shooting around our chicken pens with Sub sonic shells it is quite and really knocks over the prey.
Its light weight makes it easy to move quickly onto the target.
Also with a quick change of barrel you can have a normal .410 for hunting.
Ok its probably not the prettiest gun on the market but is rugged and reliable. You just know it will outlast you.
Would like it if someone took this gun seriously and produced tactical... (read more)

Great gun, I don't mind the recoil at all compared with the bigger 12 gauge and 20 gauge. The Mossberg Model 500 .410 pump is the perfect all around gun for me. (read more)

Have hunted small game (rabbits & squirrels) for many years now with the .410 pump. While this gun is effective on squirrels, especially with shotshells like Winchesters Super Speed in #6 shot, it is certainly much more effective on rabbits. The lightness of the gun, combined the pump action, and a 24" barrel, make this gun absolutely deadly on rabbits. Other loads that pattern very well in this gun are Fiocchis, Dynamit Nobels, and Remington Game Loads, which I've found are very devastating... (read more)
