“Karoo/KC is the worst provider ever.”

Karoo/KC is rubbish as it's the slowest ever, cuts out and you get charged £2 for every 1GB that you go over the limit with which is a rip off. I always keep track nearing the end of my limit and somehow how I mysteriously go over the limit sometimes even when I track to make sure I don't. The prices are ridiculous as you don't even get unlimited download unlike most legit providers offer. We are paying almost £40 a month which I feelnis far too much for what we are getting! We are paying fibre optic prices but what we are getting is mediocre at best; the internet itself is slow and the service we have received has been useful. We find it hard to download ANYTHING, not to mention the fact that it turns off at random times! I do not recommend this service… Read Full Review

KC is the worst internet provider I could possibly conceive. Words can not adequately describe how terrible this internet service is. 'Utter wank'is the phrase I would use. If you have any other option, use it. The one good thing is that it has encouraged me to read rather than use the internet. I had a better internet service halfway up a mountain in yellowstone. If I could give 0 stars I would. Major issues AGAIN with KC and the Internet. A massive disappointment and a mediocre service which we are expected to pay £40-£50 a month for. When will it end??????? This service is truly attrocious. The connection is not the issue here as it is fairly stable, it is however the disgraceful connection speeds. I have screen shotted numerous times the under 1mb speeds onna daily basis and yet i am told that my connection is "excellent" and 10mb+?! It is actually easier to access the internet using my 4G connection on my phone!!! Sort it out kc! £40 a month for this shocking service. 10 reasons why KC is the worst Internet provider in the country... 1. They over charge by a huge amount compared to other country's because... 2. Changing to a new tariff with kc. Received a huge bill as the agent had put me on the wrong tariff. They changed the tariff and original agent called to apologise so far so good ..... On no next bill really huge. They decided rather than credit for £100's which they owed me due to their area they thought a £5 goodwill credit would sort it! I've had issues in the past with the standard broadband they offer but since getting lightstream, I've not had a single issue. I get 100mb constantly and haven't had any downtime in over a year (fingers crossed it stays this good). Karoo is by far the worst internet provider in the UK. Im forever ringing them up about the same problem and all I get back is the same rubbish all the time. My issue is thay my internet is apparently a 5mb download speed in the area but when I do a download I get around 300kbps on a good day. I have had around 2 routers in 1 year from karoo and now i have been given there latest and with the ability to have 5ghz signal, no improvements what so ever. Where are you...? I have the same problems ongoing cor 2 years, had 2 new routers a new socket, 3 visits and adverised speeds of between 3 and 6 mbps with and average of 6...how ever im lucky atm to get 2 mbps

This company has dodgy internet. Mine goes out about 5 or 6 times a day. You have no choice but to sign up for them in Hull, yet they put you in a minimum 18 month contract. When you do move out of the area and they dont cover your new house, you have to pay them to end the contract!! Oh and dont let them know on short notice you are moving. Because then you Still have to pay for 30 days of service although they disconnect the service from the house the moment you let them know you are moving… Read Full Review
