Good Points: none whatsoever for me
General comments: I thought it had no cosy feel to it at all-to the stage that we never felt comfy staying to order a dessert. no contact from the staff from the minute we sat down. tables looked like a small grease and spoon cafe i.e. just pushed up against the wall. to order curly fries and see what i was served-the curly fries which looked like those i had just gave my children for dinner from tesco freezer!
First attempt at McKirdys and we were turned away despite apparently empty tables. second attempt-most of starters were left yet no question as to were they ok. wouldn't as much as stay for a dessert as felt so uncomfortable.

All of our party of 6 had fantastic starters and main courses, not one of us could eat another thing the portions were generous and extremely tasty especially the T Bone steak which was cooked to perfection.
Thank you Mckirdy's for a wonderful evening.

Our party of 3 adults and two teenagers all loved it at McKirdys in Edinburgh. There were clean plates all round. Nothing stuffy about this place! You could share your leftovers with your nephew openly, without waiters, owners or fellow diners frowning at you.
I was almost tempted to lick my plate!
