    Good Points: Munich is a clean, friendly, old style, city. Most things within walking distance.
    Great tube system.


    Bad Points: Get used to eating some weird Bavarian food.


    General comments: We stayed in the Flemings hotel right near the Hauptbahnhof (central station), ideal location within 10 minutes walking distance of Marienplatz where most things happen. It is worth staying in the hotel (8.5 out of 10), they have a good restaurant. Munich is a lovely clean and friendly city, with enough to do and see for a long weekend. Beware that they serve beer in large two pint (1 litre) glasses but saying that there's no drunken yob culture.
