Good Points: Attractive design, nice locker rooms, reasonable rate
Bad Points: Extremely overcrowded, at one point 70% of the equipment in the cardio cinema was broken, the instructors do not help organize the classes (which are overcrowded also) which led to me getting kicked in the head during yoga, the women's section is tiny and has only a small corner with mirrors and has hardly any real equipment (not even cables!) and the fluorescent light in there is so harsh it burns your eyes, the regular weight area is intimidating for a woman and full of meatheads, you are locked into a year contract so they don't seem to care about providing a good experience,
General comments: After another semi-daily meeting with a desk person to log in broken equipment, I was simply told that the person in charge of repairs just isn't good at his job. When I tried to talk to management, no one could find her. I sent two emails which I never received a response to. One of those emails was in regard to stopping my contract, but I didnt get a responce.

Overall Golds Gym Lawrenceville is a pretty good place to train. The floor plan is pretty well laid out, the staff is fairly friendly, and there is plenty of cardio equipment and exercise classes. The Gym's shortcomings include a very small free weight area, equipment that is frequently broken, missing pins, and some general "knuckleheadedness" of some of the membership (but not as bad as some other gyms I have been to)

After being suckered into a contract of one year with them, I made the most of it for the period. After one year, you can imagine I was ready to bail from this overcrowded, under-equipped sorry excuse for a gym. So I cancelled my membership, and they told me that my cancellation was effective immediately. Unbelievable, I paid for the entire month, and couldn't use the gym for two weeks of what I paid for. I was told if I cancelled any later, they would charge me for the following month as well. ...
