Good Points: Drinks prices were really reasonable! And the price to get in was a bargin!
Bad Points: The toilets were freezing!
General comments: Having just been on my first Rockworld night out I felt compelled to share the experience!
Not my nightclub of choice having lived in Manchester for over a year and not having visited it yet, however it was picked as the venue for a Thursday night out.
Initial thoughts after hearing numerous things about it was, I would either love it or hate it!
However it got off to a great start by only having to pay £1.50 in! (Bargain!)
Rockworld is set out in a basement, spilt into various different rooms of all sizes, each room playing its own genre of music. The biggest room (that I found anyway!) was room 2, with its black walls (later found out that all the rooms had black walls!) playing rock music wasn't quite to my taste, moving on into room 3 which; I think was punk and SKA was quite enjoyable, as I knew a lot more songs in here and then I found room 4, possibly the smallest room but definitely my favourite playing mainly indie music!
Each room has a mammoth dance floor and plenty of tables and chairs to sit down at and most of the rooms have a bar! (Bonus!)
All in all I really enjoyed myself at Rockworld! Being able to go through each different room sampling all kinds of music you may not usually until you find the room for you! Also means that Rockworld plays host to quite a large and differentiating crowd!
I would recommend people to visit Rockworld in Manchester it's a really fun night (if not a bit daunting at first) and i'd definitely go again!
