I've been having my hair cut by nikki oliver for over twenty years and I would never ever ever go elsewhere. I have on occasion, to aveda and trevor sorbie and always regretted it. He is a hairdresser that has a true ability to cut hair and understand what styles suit you and your hair. I have always had good experiences there, and contrary to what other reviewers say the management has always been very friendly and accomodating. I don't even live in manchester anymore but when I go up to visit family and friends I get my hair cut.
Fantastic hairdreeser, would reccomend him to anyone!

If you want to have a really bad haircut, then please proceed to Nicky Oliver, the staff is rude, stand there doing nothing and genuinely treat customers as an inconvenience, the worst bit is, they cannot cut hair to save their lifes, totally unprofessional outfit.

I recently visited the Piccadilly branch of this salon for a simple haircut. I work close by and as I had time to kill and was in need of a haircut I decided to pop in on the off chance to see if I could have a cut. I was greeted by someone who had to ask if I was able to have my hair cut even though there were half a dozen or so staff who didn't look like they were doing anything. I felt like I was disturbing their casual afternoon. The quick men's cut I was expecting turned out to be 50 minute ...

My bad experiences haven't put me off because my good experiences at Nicky Oliver far outweigh the bad.
I've since moved to the West Mids and haven't found a hair dresser as good since , which really gets me down.
I'm going to make a special visit down to Manchester and book in advance this week because I've had enough of looking awful with the terrible stylists in Wolverhampton, I hope my trip will be worth it. Regardless of the bad experiences, I still have trust in you and think you're defo ...

If you can go to a salon other than this one, I advise you do exactly that.
I made an appointment for my sisters wedding, turned up at the salon early and was told I was late - the receptionist had entered my appointment for 15 minutes BEFORE I even finished work!
The staff appeared to be sat around or doing each others hair, I could see none working on clients yet I was told no-one could do my hair and I would have to rearrange. The staff seemed rude towards me, didn't apologise for the booki ...

Having spoken with the management team, whom in any environment set the standard, I now understand why customer service is so poor.
I and my friends have taken our customer else where.

The Nicky Oliver salon in situated in Manchester. With two salons; one on Oldham Street and the other at Piccadilly. I first went to this salon after buying an invitation, which is for new clients, who pay a set price for a card with numerous treatments on and up to 50% off a number of other treatments for 6 months.

I have visited this hairdressing salon about 4 times now in the past 6 months or so, and it's always busy; even mid afternoon on a week day. But it's friendly, and the staff are a ...
