“Wrong Vintage!!!”

I ordered a particular wine and vintage and had to wait a month for delivery as stock was due in. This I accepted, however, when my wine then turned up it was the wrong vintage and when I pointed this out to them their comment was 'I'm afraid this has come as a surprise to us too, we ordered the 2013 and our importers have delivered the 2014 without telling us'. Not good enough i'm afraid, if you order something and wait a month for it then you should get what you pay for.

“Failed to deliver on all fronts”

Paid extra for Saturday dekivery. Didn't turn up. Didn't contact me even though they had my mobile. Disappointing

“Great selection, indifferent service.”

On a recent holiday, I discovered a beer that was only available from the Drinkshop.com; so I decided to make an order. Better still, was the fact that they stocked a drink my wife enjoys, also difficult to obtain in the UK. So I placed my order, (in excess of £100), along with some other hard to find drink items. All were shown as "In stock", and I was given an acceptable date for delivery - all great so far. When I received the e-mail confirmation, I confess that I did not check the delivery date. It had been moved on a week, from the date given when I submitted the order. I was alerted to this, when four days later, I received an e-mail from someone in customer services, reiterating that my order was going to be a week late and if this was a problem, to give them a call. As it wasn't, I had no need to call and the delivery arrived as promised, today. I would have given the Drinkshop five stars, were it not for the unexplained delay. I may have even awarded five stars, if they had informed me why there had been a delay; when all the items were shown "In stock". The bottom line must be however, that I got the goods and they were as described.

“Terrible customer service- extremely rude and unhelpful”

My son used this service TheDrinkShop to order Todka for my birthday, he left explicit instructions for the item to be left with a neighbour if there was no one home at the time of delivery. City Link attempted a delivery and finding nobody home, left a card through the letter box WITH NO INFORMATION ON IT but didn't even try the neighbour. On the same day another company left our order with our neighbour without a problem. [name removed] from The Drink Shop left a voicemail message asking my son to call her - but left an incorrect phone number. He tried to call her- no luck and tried to contact City Link to arrange another time for delivery but this was not possible as it was out of hours. Consequently City Link attempted delivery the following day, yet again nobody was home and no attempt was made to leave the order with a neighbour who is retired and always at home. [name removed] then contacted my son and got him to agree under duress to pay a further delivery charge for another delivery attempt- money he can ill afford. When I tried to argue on his behalf to refund the extra delivery charge, I found [name removed] to be both patronizing and rude. She promised to contact the courier service to prove they had photos of our front door to show they had tried to deliver the item, completely missing the point that the instructions to leave the item with our neighour had been ignored, consequently costing my son a further £4.90 delivery charge and missing my birthday by 5 days. SHE HAS NEVER REPLIED!! I would not use this company and certainly not recommend them. Their customer service STINKS.There are plenty of other drinks companies who have a much better customer service and deliver ON TIME. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

“Very poor delivery service.”

The overall experience of placing my order and making payment went fine. They have a very easy to use website, I couldn't fault anything with trying to place my order. The delivery service really needs work though. I had written specific instruction for the Courier, " Call before delivery". I got no phone call and the person I was ordering for was at the house. I ended up having to tell them what I got and it spoilt the surprise. An expensive surprise ruined, however I would use the service again under different circumstances.

“Not perfect but good experience”

Let me start by saying I'm a little surprised by the most recent reviews I've read on this site about The Drink Shop. Although I can relate to some of the negative comments made by my fellow reviewers I can honestly say I'd use this trader again. I recently ordered some lovely Keo Beer from this website after not being able to find the larger 630ml bottles locally. At the time of ordering the website stated the product was "Out of Stock" but due to be available in 4 days. Having never ordered from here before I was a little anxious because I needed the items with 10 days but placed the order. For my own peace of mind I revisted the site to monitor the stock situation, 4 days later the stock was still "Out of Stock" but available on the 5th day, (not too bad). This is where this go a little Pete Tong! Their delivery partner City Link was due to deliver the items Friday. Tracking the order on Friday I could see the item hadn't even arrived at the local depot so I rang City Link for an answer. The operator I got was pretty much couldn't care less, informing me my package had been "mis-sorted" and in Newcastle and would be delivered Monday. This being of no use I rang The Drink Shop. This is where things pick up again! The Drink Shop couldn't of been more helpful. The recalled my original order and issued a replacement order for delivery the next day (Saturday AM). The order arrived, on time and well packaged. I would definitely buy from The Drink Shop again my only suggestion to them is consider a review of your delivery partner, they are letting you down!

Avoid them like the plague. Their customer service is terrible and my belief is their sales team need to learn how to interact with human beings. I have never been rudely spoken to and judging by the thuggishness of their sales team, I would fear to place any order with such a company.

Will avoid in future. Ability to deliver ordered and paid for drinks has severely declined over my last couple of experiences with them. Last straw paid for goods in May half of order promised July 1st but no show by Aug 9th and no contact with me or refund offered until I phoned them today. Also no apology they had my money all this time without delivering the goods or contacting me. V poor attitude to customer service. Shame because they used to be very good.

Dont bother with these guys. If you even get your goods at all, they'll be a week late. Terrible customer service, once they've got your money they dont want to know. They use City Link for deliveries and they're just as bad, they couldnt care less if they deliver your item or not.

I am in Ohio (USA)Placed an order on Feb.3rd, payment was taken on Feb.4th
The order page said I would get my order on Feb.8th. Today is Feb.18th and I still have not got my order.
The tracking number from Parcel Force says it is being held in Customs at JFK. I called Customs, gave them the tracking number and they said it is not being held. Been there since Feb.14th. Turns out the package was not mailed till Feb.9th. Remeber, they took the payment on Feb.4th.
After several tries I got someone on the phone at the drinkshop and all they could tell me was"Well, I don't know what to say, we never had anything like this happen before" Yeah right.
So after more than 2 weeks my $400 package is still out there. These people will lie to you and you will not get a refund, that they made clear.
Here is my tracking number from Parcel Force EK006819266GB
I'm not sure what I can do. Looks like I am just out $400. I would say stay far,far away from Thedrinkshop.com Once they get your money they could care less about you.

Firstly, I was surprised the Drink Shop stocked my favourite wine, Beronia Grand Reserva.
They were the best priced and the most competitive on next day delivery.
The wines arrived next day at 10am to my workplace and enjoyed that evening. Thansk to TheDrinkShop :-)
