Karen Millen at Regent's Street is a visually pleasant store, bright, elegant and glamorous to fit into its surroundings.
I went there to see a dress I found online and wanted to ask a sales assistant where it was without having to flick through the whole collection. She was chatting to the security guy loudly and I stood beside her for a minute or so, then asked her if she had time to help me.
We eventually found the dress, I tried it on and it was amazing.
While in the changing room, two sales assistants told an unsure lady how beautiful and classy she looked in the KM outfit....really pushing her into buying it. I went out and saw an elderly lady in a bright red dress and, quite frankly, she looked ridiculous.
It's not so much the fake compliments that make a good customer service outstanding, but I wished it was done with more honesty!
The girl at the till was friendly, but again, complimented in the wrong way by telling me how beautiful the dress is that I chose and how she likes the sleeves. I told her it's sleeveless....hm!

Anyway, most staff are alright, said goodbye when I left and generally made a good impression....but the fake and forced nicey nicey behaviour of it all put me off a little, I have to say.

All in all, the dress is a stunner :)

I shop at Karen Millen on line as often as I can. The quality is second to none. I do like to shop when there are sales and one off reductions. I love how the clothes look on me. Only down side, I am a size 8-10 bottom. Their trousers are quite big fitting for me even in size 8 so sometimes need a size 6. Can be quite expensive but then you pay for quality. I wish I had known about Karen Millen years ago.

I recently had to return a £96 cardigan to Karen Millen - it was less than five months old and the stitching at the bottom was coming undone, causing the material to look frayed. Although we provided proof of purchase in the form of a online order print out, they refused refund and said exchange only. I then bought a black cardigan, decided it wasn't right and tried to exchange it the next day complete with tags and receipt, they refused to let me exchange it because 'it had a deodorant ...

I love KM designs. They are beautiful and I very often get complimented on my dress sense, asked where I bought this or that item, and I absolutely love how the clothes look on me! I shop at KM every month.

Great clothes, fasionable, quality is great and the fabrics are of fine quality: pure silk, cotton, leather and so forth.

I love Karen Millen slouchy bags and it's black! I don't like the handle. It should have been a longer shoulder strap. Nice looking casual, go anywhere bag but hate the thought of having to carry it by the handle.

It is still possible to get some nice outfits for a special occasion but the choice nowadays is being limited.
    The price is too expensive.
I was very disappointed with the
Karen Millen winter collection 2008 and was surprised not to have bought not one article of clothing even in the sale. We need the cutting edge designs that is synonymous of Karen Millen as we knew it.

Lacking inspiration and very repetitive in design and too expensive.

Is it just me or is anyone else dissappointed in the recent collections from Karen Millen?
I used to love this shop even though the clothes are very expensive as you would know that you would get alot of wear out of the items.
Recently the clothes available have been very bland, predictable and so distinctive to Karen Millen (basically regurgitating slight changes to old designs in perhaps a different colour that it has all become a bit boring. With charges of £90.00 for a blouse it is ...

I spent £524 on Monday in Karen Millen in Covent Garden. I checked my bank statement yesterday and they had double charged me, taking me into overdraft. My bank said to call them and get a refund. Hours later I have not managed to get hold of anyone at all at Covent Garden, I checked the number on the web site and at Directory Enquiries, yes I had the right number. Go on the web site to check customer services, no number you can only email - not helpful to me. So I phone Kings Road b ...

My favourite shop and I love it! Karen Millen is the only shop of the high street that season after season brings out clothes that surprise you with their beauty. Many of the dresses are beaded or embroidered or have other real attention to detail that you don't get elsewhere. You always get complimented wearing their clothes.

I have shopped at Karen Millen for more than a decade; but there have been years in which I could not buy anything because the sizes were all too large for me; I bought a couple of too-large 8's - and resented the additional cost of having to get them taken in. This year, the introduction of size 6 has allowed me back as an active buyer; please, please don't give up the size 6!

In general I do like Karen Millen, very chic, very stylish, however I do think their clothes are overpriced. I purchased a snakeskin handbag last week, it was £120, it was in the sale reduced from £150. I took it to Royal Ascot with me for the day, and just as I was getting home the handle snapped off. I was horrified, for £120 I would expect to get more than one wear out of it. Needless to say I took it back, but as I mentioned in the good points section, they were happy t ...

Clothes from Karen Millen always look good, but they are not good quality - not worth the money £120 for a dress, which puckers and is rough is not good value to me.

There is another shop on the high street I'd much rather go to - Coast (not as fashionable I know, but stylish, great service and good quality clothes for special occasions)

My 21st birthday party is in 2 weeks, and I was searching everywhere for a dress... Nordstrom, Saks and Neiman Marcus etc... Everything I saw was either ugly or totally not what I was looking for. I went into Karen Millen just because I was walking by and saw dresses in the window. The dress I purchased was beyond what I had been looking for.., just perfect! I'll definitely be shopping there again!!

Karen Millen is good for a dress which you can wear more than once. I had bought several unsuitable dresses and returned them, then went into the Kensington branch. An assistant asked if I needed any help. I said I was looking for a really good party dress. I told her what I didn't like (floaty, girly stuff) and she brought me the dress I purchased. It's amazing. The staff are very helpful, and I've never found it a snobby shop; it is just a bit pricey, so I like to go in the sales. As it was, I ...

I ordered the dress from Gateshead because the Southampton branch were out of stock, the assistant at Gateshead said they had one size 8, but it had been put aside for the manager's daughter. She said if another one came in she'd call me. She did and I paid for the dress, which was supposed to be directly from the delivery - in fact, when it arrived they had swapped the dresses, so what I actually received was a torn rag!! There were sequins missing all over the dress, and the neck seams were ri ...

All I can say is that Karen Millen is absolutely fantastic! I walked into the shop with a pair of trainers, denims and my denim jacket and hair tied back needing a wash. The staff were really helpful and not one looked at me as though, "is she in the right shop". I can't explain the service I received and left extremely chuffed with a stunning aqua dress which I look a million dollars in. I will definitely return to this shop when looking for that something special and customer service, with ...

I am not a great shopper. In fact, it bores me. But - I had to get a killer dress for a posh party and went to Karen Millen in Bath. Very rumpled after 2 weeks on a narrow boat and wearing very unstylish clothes, the assistant spent A LONG TIME helping me to find something suitable, and wasn't fazed when I said I couldn't afford anything not in the sale! All in all, I must have spent 1.5 hours in there (I went back with my friend) and I ended up with something amazing that I would never hav ...

As a regular in Karen Millen, I am aware of the stigma attached to the company. Poor policies and gorgeous stand-offish girls. A few years ago I might agree with you but has anyone been in recently? In the last couple of months they appear to have listened to all the feedback and actually done something about it. New refund policy means you can have a full refund on sale and non-sale, for a month. You can mail-order an item from anywhere in the country and have it in a couple of days! Fault ...
