    Good Points: Cheap, works with cheap SD cards, matchbox size, works with Win98 & Linux


    Bad Points: No equaliser.
    No text display. LCD display only shows track number.
    No way to organise or re-order tracks except by erasing all and writing again.
    If you have a lot of songs, can be difficult to find the one you want.
    Can sometimes crash if pressing buttons while inserting USB cable. Battery has to be removed to reset.


    General comments: Comes with OK headphones.
    Universal drivers for IC1110 USB chipset available for Linux & Win98 from Softpedia.
    Excellent piece of kit if you just want something to play what you're in the mood for the day. Use it in the car with an FM modulator. Beats buring CDs.
    Also use it for file transfers and backup.
