Good Points: Classic styling, rock-solid construction, reliability, accuracy, reasonable price.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: The Ruger Blackhawk is a 6-shot single action revolver built in New England. It has been manufactured since the 1950's and is available in a number of pistol calibers.
The Blackhawk is famous for its strength and reliability. It is simply the best single-action revolver ever produced. Thousands are carried as bush guns in Alaska and northern Canada. You will not find a better SA revolver for the money anywhere.
I bought my first Blackhawk in 1979 for US $185. I have fired thousands of .38 Spl and .357 magnum rounds through it. The Blackhawk never let me down. A truly fine revolver.

Bought 2 Ruger blackhawks. A .357 with 4 3/4 inch barrel, blued, and a .45 with 7 1/2 inch barrel. In those days I patroled a wooded area every few days. The .357 rode my hip most of the time, it being shorter and handier. I reloaded for both calibers but shot the .357 thousands of times. When I foolishly sold it, the blue was almost all gone but the gun was still tight and in time. And, plenty accurate.
