Good Points: Very accurate, utterly reliable, controllable recoil, easy to strip and clean, and holds 13+1 rounds of .45 Automatic Colt Pistol (ACP) ammunition.
Bad Points: This is a BIG pistol and is not for those with small hands. Size, weight, and limited concealability could very well be limiting factors for choosing this pistol. It also does not feel as ergonomic as a typical Browning style 1911 does. One item I do not like is that one must press the trigger for field stripping.
General comments: I purchased a Glock 21 as a daily carry sidearm for work, as I prefer the .45 ACP cartridge to either the 9mm Parabellum or the .40 S&W. The Model 21, though quite massive in size, is an excellent carry gun. The recoil is quite manageable and is helped by the size and weight of the slide. The accuracy is superb, much better than any of the Glock 22 .40 S&W pistols I have used. I also like the fact that the magazine holds 13 rounds of the potent .45 ACP cartridge, giving me 14 rounds total. It functions with any .45 ACP ammunition I feed it, and I have never had a failure to feed, misfire, or jam. Overall I rate this pistol very highly. I purchased this model a couple of years ago for approximately $550.00.
