Good Points: Balance, pointability, engraving, wood colour and grain, oil finish barrel finish and type - Optimabore, multichoke, with lockable hard case supplied and two butt pads and truglo and bead front sight - interchangeable
Bad Points: A little disappointed with the wood to metal fit, nothing serious but when paying this much for a gun I am entitled to be a little picky.
General comments: Model - Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon 3 Sporter - 2007 Model - 30inch R/H Multichoke - My first owned gun after borrowing many "lesser guns". First impressions count and this gun looks the business, lovely engraving on a slim action, very well balanced and highly pointable, handles quickly for an 8LB gun, quick to swing yet follows through well. Barrels are the new Optima Bore - overbored with long forcing cone / Optima Chokes / flush fit - five supplied with gun - longer than Mobil chokes. Very soft to shoot, low recoil. I believe barrels are the same as the 682 Gold E sport claybuster but cheaper! and this gun won't look out of place on game days. Don't confuse this with the Game gun which is lighter and has standard barrels and chokes. All things considered I would recommend this gun, because of the slim action, stock type and barrels giving low recoil this gun may also suit ladies and some juniors stepping up to a 12 guage. Mine isn't for sale!!!
