I popped in to see about booking an appointment and was ignored. I appreciate it was a saturday but they were not especialyl busy. Me an my mother gave up after 20 mins and walked out. FYI I got my dress else where in the end and my shows from girlsofelegance (google them) as they had an amazing range and lovely service (read more)

I was very impressed with the service I received on Saturday at the Kingston store. It was refreshing to know that I could actually fit into the dresses as their sample sizes are much nearer to the average sized women than most other stores. The two other bridal stores I have been to only held tiny sample sizes (mostly size 10!) and I came out of them feeling absolutely horrible. “Still waiting for a refund ”

I placed an order online on 1st February for a pair of Rachel Simpson wedding shoes. I received them with the packing slip directly from Rachel Simpson, rather than from Love Me Do Brides, with the price ££80.34 not the £145 that I paid. Unfortunately the shoes did not go with my dress, so I returned them. There was no clear address on the packing slip, so returned them to the address at the top - Rachel Simpson. we as with other companies get the shoes dispatched from manufactures direct to our customers this is for freshness of product and quickness of delivery.
In this case the manufature put our invoice in the package by error - as with anyone in buisness there will always be a mark up - our shoes are still cheaper then any other supplier out there.
We have a full and very clear returns policy on our website. The customer has made an error when posting back the shoes, this is not our fault. As of date the status is that we are waiting to hear back from the customer regarding her proof of purchase, tracking number etc. so we can claim the customers parcel back from the manufacturers so we can refund.

This reply is just a dazzling example of their non-existent customer service and how incompetent and unprofessional this company really is.
For a start, they are not waiting for my proof of postage and tracking number - as this was sent to them in the very first e-mail (of many!) in March, when chasing my refund.
I do not see that a customer sending an item back to the only address printed on a packing slip as 'an error made by the customer'. It is not usually expected of customers to have to trawl through a website to find the returns address as this is usually printed on the packing slip!
I would like to add that after chasing numerous times I was then told that they had finally processed my refund through Sage Pay and it would take 4 weeks for this to reach my account. When I contacted Sage Pay regarding this they confirmed that their system does not take 4 weeks and there was in fact no trace of any refund having been made to my account.
Not only are they unable to process refunds, it also now seems that the word 'sorry' is not in their vocabulary and all blame should be put onto the customer for their own incompetencies. What a joy! My advice to anyone reading this is to stay well away from this company.

With regard to that you sent the proof of tracking number, your email just stated the date they were returned not the tracking number
With regard to the length of time for the refund to take it does actually state on our website that refunds can take upto 30 days to be processed this is a mixture of us processing it and for the card companies to do their checks. Your refund was done the same day as we got the shoes back on the 19th You were aware of this as we sent you the receipt copied from sagepage site with your unique ref number which you replied to.
The time issue was down to the fact that we had to go through a process of proving that the shoes should be sent back to us as they were your property not ours.
It is the customers responsibility to return the item they wish to return back to the company they bought them from, not ours. And to be fair we did actually do the chasing around and paid for the return out of our own money and did not charge you for them which to be fair we should have done.
As regard to "Sorry" We are sorry that you felt that you had the need to write such a review . As far as service from our company i do feel that we have gone out of our way to rectify a mistake that the customer has made.
So as far as customer service is concerned i do feel that you have an exceptional service., other companies would have left it to you to get the shoes back.
It is never our wish for a customer to be unhappy and we will always go out of our way to help, and in this case we feel that we have gone that extra mile.
So for any customers reading this review to recap, this customer ordered shoes which were received. She then sent them back to the wrong address which we at our own cost retrieved back the shoes were refunded the day we received the shoes.

“Lovely owner, terrible sales staff.”

I met the lady that runs the two Love me Do Bride shops at a wedding fair and she was absolutely lovely. However, I called the Kingston store to book in a fitting, whilst I was on hold I could hear the girls mumbling and bitching in the background about the times i'd requested - terrible service and massive stupidity on their part. I will still go for a fitting to give another review on the entire experience but so far it's not looking good. (read more)

Hi, we hope you are well. Sorry for the late reply, as i was unsure which day you had called i had to make sure i spoke to all my girls that were in that week.
I am really not sure what has happen, but all girls are not aware of any problems regarding anyone booking an appointment. We all love booking appointments, its exciting and we all love doing our jobs so we look forward to meeting new brides.
I can only think that maybe as the kingston store is a busy shop and the phone is right by the front desk that it might have been a conversation taking place while you were being booked in?

Love Me Do are great! The staff are so friendly and make the whole experience of finding your dress so much fun. They are also excellent value for money and very very efficient! Customer ordered on-line, as with any orders placed over the internet you make a secured payment, so its the customer who sends the money upfront.
Customer ordered on the 27th, we emailed on the 28th to let her know they were out of stock until the 14th Feb but it seems she did not get our email.
The next email we got was on the 13th (same day she wrote this review), we responded back 6 minutes later, to which she responded back,
They were sent out on a next day service free of charge.

Hi, Pleased you have your shoes, I believe you got them within 48 hours after we last emailed you.
I do think this is unfair regarding the communication as we did respond to your emails as soon as you sent them, and very happy to post on here to prove it, if you did not receive them I can only think that they went into your spam box.
As regard to the payment, it is not us that takes the payments but the customer who sends them when they use a secured site as protx, if companies take payment when they are ready this will mean that your card details are not safe and could be used for fraud and its against the rules and regulations of the major banks.

I found the staff at Love Me Do in Kingston to be consistently helpful, upbeat and excited about my wedding preparations. They gave advice when sought but weren't at all pushy about buying add-on items - the fact that I'd bought my dress there was enough to guarantee me excellent care throughout the process, from purchase to cleaning to pick-up. A absolute nightmare and diabolical online sales service. stick to what you know and leave the online sales to the professionals. I am still waiting for over a £100 to be refunded for two pairs of shoes. The first pair were sent back the same day as received and after viewing a previous review I sent them recorded delivery, so have proof they have been returned not that this has made any difference. We are unsure of who this review is from as they have not left their name, but it does tie in with a recent bride who had problems on a refund, if this is the bride we think then the delay was in the credit card collecting funds which is out of our hands, as with all online orders that are processed through a secured website we dont have access to the card details so we authorise the our bank to allow collection of funds, in this case the customer card company had not collected, once we knew of the problems it was resolved very quickly.
As with the matter of stock being held, it is very common for bridal stores and on-line companies not to carry stock, they order in as per the orders placed. We on the other hand do carry some stock, but not all styles in all sizes, however we normally expect our customers to received their shoes within 7 working days or less depending on national holidays and weather conditions. Most suppliers will not sell direct to the general public, where they do their prices will normally be higher.
As you will see from this review it will look like the order was placed mid December when the manufactures start to close for the xmas period.
We do pride ourselves in customer service and quality of product, and are very sadden when a customer feels they have been let down. If the author of this review would like to contact us via email so we can make sure that all has been resolved and an explanation has been given .

I had a very limited amount of time in which to choose a wedding dress as I live overseas. By the time I met Kelly and the team at Love Me Do I had been to a couple of other stores and, like the last reviewer, been very disheartened trying on tiny sizes that didn't fit me. As I am a slightly larger lady (uk size 16) I have been having major trouble with trying on dresses as most shops I have been into only stock sample sizes of 10-12. However, Love me do brides sample sizes are mostly 14's and 16's which I was thrilled about. It is horrific to go into a shop and see a beautiful dress but not be able to try it on because you are slightly larger. I did not send them recorded delivery but I had proof of posting and their address and my address were clearly marked on the parcel. The shoes were never returned by the post office. (read more)

As previously mentioned in emails to you, your proof of postage from the post office is a receipt of postage, it is not a proof of delivery.
We always advise all our customers to send back their returns by recorded delivery on our website, this way its traceable and insured.

I had a great experience with Love me Do brides, Sharon and the girls at the Walton store were fantastic. Great advice from sharon and very simple process from the outset. I found my dream dress and couldn't have been happier with the result on the day. The alterations were expensive, nothing to do with Sharon but just as a warning to girls who have budgeted for a dress - don't forget you will have to pay for alterations too and mine were £175. Brides-To-Be - re alterations, ours are done a trade price, you will not be charged a shop price, you pay the seamstress direct even if you use the shop for your appointment. Your dress bag, final prep and steam is free of charge

Love me do brides was the first shop I went in to and from the moment I stepped in I felt welcome and the staff were really friendly, They really took their time in helping me find what was the one. I think I tried on over 20 dresses and they didn't rush me at all. I was really pleased with my dress and it was really reasonable and Sharon let me set up a payment plan which helped a lot with paying for everything else at once. Would recommend to anyone. I visited Love Me Do Walton last year and felt comfortable immediately, Sharon and the girls made me feel welcome and special. They gave me all their attention and let me Take my time ensuring they found me the right dress, picking out dresses for me to suit my shape. As a larger bride I had prepared myself to be in for a tough time in finding a dress that was worth getting married in. Many bridal studios don't cater for larger girls (apparently we are too much work) and I entered Love Me Do brides at the end of a day being squashed into dresses that were made for people half my size and frankly I was drained...so much so I almost cancelled my appointment. The dresses are stunning and the staff made everyone feel completely at ease. The dresses are good value and in my opinion, many look far more expensive than they actually are! I went to the Kingston branch where I was met by Kelly Hammond, she is a very nice and professional person who was very helpful. I felt I could call Kelly at any time and she would do her best to accommodate. I must have gone through at least 10 dresses before I chose "The One" and she didn't rush me or get involved at all unless I wanted her to, she left me and my family to try on what we wanted and helped me with taking off and putting the dresses. Sharon in the Walton team makes the shop really, always listens to what you want, gives helpful hints and tips as well as suggesting additional items to go with your dress selection. There is a good range of dresses to chose from and the staff are always willing to help you into the dresses (this doesn't happen everywhere!). I left it a quite late to organise my daughter's bridesmaid dress but the Walton shop could not have been more helpful. They expressed the order and chased it up with great cheerfulness. It arrived a little earlier than expected. I also bought a tiara and shoes with great success. The dressmaker recommended was good and the shop steamed the dress afterwards. I ordered my wedding shoes from love me do brides in March this year. They arrived promptly but did not fit. I sent them back recorded delivery and requested a refund. The refund did not show up in my account so I emailed them. I had no reply for weeks. I think that if you look at the other comments on this site you will see that they all have very similar comments which is a real shame because the offer on the shoes I bought was one of the best I could find. I wanted to purchase some new wedding shoes from you that fit better and all of my bridesmaids shoes but because of my experience I would not use your company again. No company should take 30 days to put money in your account . Customers shouldn't have to call your shops and email on numerous occasions in order to remedy a simple refund. I hope that you are able to change your way of doing things because you do have good deals but your customer service is very poor.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. Just looking into your details i can see that there was a delay because you had a card change, see below extract from your email you sent to us. (i have blanked out the card details as this is a public site)
The first email we received was on the 26th April at 7.41 which we replied back the same day at 10.25
Refunds on-line can take longer then refunds in stores as you are not present at the time of the transaction. When buying on-line your payment is done via a safe site in this case protx, this is to protect your card details, so although we process the transaction within a few days our end, it can take the banks upto 30 days to do their checks and process it their end as its going via a 3rd party. Normally the refunds get processed a lot quicker, hence the reason why we put 30 days on our refund policy and the terms and conditions which you agree to on checkout.
We have this month changed our returns policy to extend the returns window from 7 days to 28 days, which means our brides do not have to rush to get their items back, they can do so after the wedding.
Customer service is always top of our list and we always aim to please, however i can understand that if you missed the 30days on the terms and conditions that it could be a shock and the last thing we want is a customer to be unhappy, so i hope that the above explains it a bit better for you.

"I've just realised that I may have paid with my card that expired on 31st March. I had my new card but am unsure if I used it when I paid for the shoes. I used this shop as the staff seemed really friendly- little did I know it was all fake.I ordered a dress and matching wrap for my daughter. Firstly they forgot to order the wrap, then they gave me a used wrap dirty with makeup, and finally refused to refund the wrap when it arrived a totally different shade to the dress. This lady bought a dress and ordered a wrap at the same time. The dress was satin and the wrap was chiffon and made from Alfred Angelo, both were the same colour, she was shown swatches, she was aware of the difference of fabric on ordering, the chiffon was chosen by her as it was warmer then satin.
The dress and wrap were ordered at the same time and both on the same shipping order, however due to production the dress was finished early and came in first and the wrap later
We did give her husband the wrong bag by mistake, as the shop was very busy that Saturday, and the bag was marked urgent and one of the girls picked it up by mistake, but this was rectified within a few minutes, and we apologised to him when he bought it back, he was lovely, good humoured and said it was fine.
All items made to order are not refundable as with any company, and terms and conditions were signed and she was aware of it. however this lady was actually offered a satin wrap in exchange which she refused.
This lady was not in control in the shop, she staged a sit in, when we said we could not refund, and actually physically and verbally abused a member of staff in the store, she was badly shaken and should have called the police.
The member of staff actually called the lady to see if she got home ok, as she had got herself into a state and the member of staff was concerned, she also again offer the exchange where she was subjected to more abuse.
We feel that we have acted unprofessional in this matter and care about our customers. We did offer her an exchange but she refused, the satin wrap would have been the same batching as her daughters prom dress
The lady was not in tears when she left but she was shouting and screaming and called the member of staff a horrible person and a fake and hoped the business failed.
All this was witnessed partially by a member of public, and brides picking up there gowns and CCTV.

Seems that this shop is staffed by "sizest" snobs. I was greeted by "an oh the budget dresses are over there" when I explained I only had about £800 to spend. Nice. I do hope they improve this as its just not on. £800 isn't a lot by some peoples standard but it is a lot to me. (read more)

Our gowns start for a new dress £599 to £2200, our sale range starts from £50 to approx £600.
Our designers can supply us with sizes 4 to 36
So you can see that we can cater for everyone. Our staff themselves vary from a size 12 to a 18 them selves and our samples range from 14 to 26 most tend to be between 14-18
We pride ourselves on being different to other stores who only stock size 12 sample and under.

I bought a pair of shoes for my wedding after the sales girl of the shop told me I could get refunded if they didn't fit. I paid £100 (on top of £160 for another pair of shoes that I kept). I brought them back to the store (10 miles from where I live) where I wasn't even given a receipt. Then I had to wait 2 months, calling them every week to be refunded of only £93!!! This is outrageous and not a store I would buy EVER AGAIN nor recommend to a future bride. (read more)

If the shoes were ordered on-line and it clearly states on there that a deduction for our costs for postage will be done. which you were correctly told is in the terms and conditions which you agreed to at ordering.
In store we will only exchange.

I would not recomment this company to know one. I bought a tiara from there on the 8th April and still waiting for it. I email them and I am informed of different things. Why sell products online if you don't have it available? Hi really sorry to hear this, and without knowing the full details its really hard to comment.
When someone walks in we do acknowledge the bride and i know most stores don't do this but we do let the brides browse, we don't crowd them, which most brides fell over whelming and off putting, we are not a hard sell company.
All our appointments have a one on one with all our dress fitters as choosing your gown is one of the most important times in your wedding planning so its important that they get our full attention at all times and as you said it was a Saturday, which are always fully booked.
We hope that you have an amazing wedding and really sorry we could not have helped you. All reviews are taking seriously and customer service is a priority to us so thank you for your comments.
