    The Philips Philishave Speed-XL is not as good as my older 7000 series. Motor seems slower which means a less comfortable shave.

    Used Philishaves for over 40years.The Philips Philishave Speed-XL HQ8150 is the worst shaver and the most expensive I've ever bought. In my experience, I had a poor quality shave - more plucking action than cutting action.In my opinion, it is NOT recommended.

    The Philips Speed-XL HQ8150 mens shaver is not bad, but my old Philips Philishave 920 was a better machine by far. I probably should have bought new heads and saved my money.

    I've used electric shavers for the last 20 years and decided it was time to replace my 6 year old Braun shaver. Having never used a rotary shaver before, I decided I'd give it a go. The first thing I discovered was just how pricey shavers were these days! In the end I opted for this model, mainly because the price had been reduced from £120 to £80 but also because it promised a "faster and closer" shave".
