The great thing about the Southwing SH505 bluetooth headset is the possibility of upgrading the unit for future proofing, i.e. pairing to mobile phones now and in the future.
The free to download control software to update the headset can be found on the manufacturer's web site.
It can be controlled with different ring tones to alert you of incoming calls, or store numbers for straight or voice dialing.
I found the headset to work flawlessly with my SE K800i and V3i.
Overall it is a great headset, and i would recommend it.
The only negative point as i said earlier is the ear bud does not stay where it is supposed to stay, or maybe it's down to my ears, who knows.

After some usage, I can report that the incoming and outgoing audio produced by the Southwing SH505 bluetooth headset tends to be deep and muffled sounding, which for a headset of this price range should not be so.
Still drops out of my ear from time to time, so be careful.

Now the bad...
The earbud has came off from the main body of the headset, exposing two broken very thin black wires for the audio to travel from the small pcb board inside the casing.
These wires are all that keeps the earbud in place, and in my opinion poor design.
I will now have to dismantle the headset and try and resolder the earbud wires back together to salvage the headset?, thus voiding any warranty.
So beware, if using one of these units, as it seems to be quite fragile, and possibly prone to other problems.

After only half a dozen usages of the Southwing SH505, the headset switches on, then freezes, and won't operate.

I have tried to reset the unit as per the instructions, but to no avail.
The firmware has just been upgraded, but has done nothing to resolve the problems.
The headset is fully charged, as far as I know?
If you leave the unit off and try and switch it back on hours later, it seems to power up, but seconds later, nothing, "dead".
I think that there must be a fault with the rechargeable battery inside, and it is not holding a big enough charge for the headset to function.
Though the headset is recognised when connected to my PC.
As the 505 is under warranty for two years, I will return it back to the retailer for investigation or possible repair.
