Provided that you keep the filter and container clean (under running water using a softish brush), this is a great and powerful performer. Having to wash components takes a little while to get used to - a vacuum cleaner that requires regular maintenance and cleaning may not be to everyone's liking. I found this an acceptable alternative to messy bags that spill its contents every time you want to change them.

The electrolux Cyclen Z7310 is the worst cleaner I have ever had! Upon its first use I was impressed. Suction was great, it was light and easy to move around. Then reality hit. Every time it is used it clogs up the filter and the dirt doesn't tip out easy, you have to get your hand in and pull it out. The filter needs shaking before every use or suction is zero, once it's been shaken suction increases to about 5% of its first use. The filter light is constantly on. I have long dark hair and ...

We bought this product 13months ago from John Lewis. During this time it has had little use despite this the filter system is pathetic ( a telephone message to the support team resulted in the advise to give it a shake to get rid of the dust!!) It wasn't a question of dust it was clogged up and couldn't be dismantled to give it a proper clean. The strength of suction is poor. It cost me almost £100 just over a year ago. I am still pining for good old Henry !!!!
On purchasing I would like ...

If there is a worse vacuum cleaner than this Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra I would be surprised. The filter needs cleaning after every use. It jams in every doorway as the wheels protrude from the side. It's center of gravity in at the back so overturnes easily. The main suction tube is metal so very heavy, carbon would be lighter and probably cheaper. Don't bother with the slider that gives Min-Max power, you always need max. The rear wheels only point forward so hard to pull sideways.

I've nearly thrown my Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra out the window everytime I use it. My 9 year old Panasonic cylinder with bags is far better and I end up using that to do the job properly. As others have said, suction is very poor! - if you have a wife with long hair forget using this! Mine clogs within minutes of use even though the dust container is 80% empty...I've never managed to fill the dust container more than this amount as the suction reduces to minimal amount well before it fil ...

the filter light on my Electrolux Cyclonic Cleaner came on and I followed the instructions for cleaning it, not it seems the machine will no longer work , I've tried turning power off, but the machine will not start. I have given up in frustration. I am off to shops to purchase another cleaner - I think I'll forget the self cleaning filters etc, and go for a basic cleaner.

The in my opinion poor design means this product looses suction very rapidly. Carpet fluff and hairs clog the filter within minutes and the dirt container needs to be emptied and filter cleaned at least once during a single vacuuming of my downstairs living area.

I bought this Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra as a replacement for a Dyson dc05 which blew its motor after 4 years
i went to comet to buy another model but ended up with the electrolux as the one i wanted had sold out.
First couple of uses were great but then the filter light came on, exhaust note changes, and thats it, no more suction, they supplied two filters so constantly swapping and washing filters.
called customers service who sent an engineer, he said the filters were fitted wrong!!!!

This Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra vacuum cleaner is just a waste of space I think. Stay well away from it. After cleaning just one average size room the filter clogs and you need to change it. Every time I use it I feel like throwing it down the skip. When you telephone Electrolux they just tell you to change the filter. This cleaner might be bagless but you need to use a black bag to empty it or all the rubbish goes everywhere.

This is the first cylinder we've had, it's great for about 5 mins then the filter cover gets covered in stuff and it reduces the suction by about 80% then you've to start emptying & cleaning or swapping the filter,(no wonder they give you 2), try ringing electrolux customer services, waste of my time it was!

The filter on my Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra clogs after a very short time and it becomes ineffective. We have wasted our money are are receiving very poor customer 'service' from Electrolux. Save yourself a lot of hassle and buy something else.

It would be a great machine if only they had focused on the run time between cleaning. Avoid this like the white elephant that it is. I will be trying to return it though I don't rate my chances highly after 3 months of perseverance using it. It is simply not fit for purpose. No wonder they sell it with two filters - you have to clean the dirty one using the clean one, alternating every 2 minutes. The dirt you suck off goes straight back onto the clean one as the "cyclone" is so short that ...

I have been very disappointed with this cleaner. It is the first cylinder I have ever owned and being pregnant I thought that it would be easier for the stairs. Although it is very light and easy to use it does not pick up properly and the HEPA filter constantly needs to be emptied. After spending a serious amount of time trying to get it to pick up the bits I have now taken to sitting on the floor picking bits up as it is quicker! Will be going out to buy a new vacuum in the next week or so as ...

We had a Dyson DC05 cylinder cleaner which had very poor suction even with clean filters and tubes. The Electrolux Z7310 is far superior.

Although very powerful (which is why we bought it in the first place), if you want to have to clean out the filter after every 10 sweeps as the powerful suction quickly blocks up the filter, then buy an Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra. I've had nothing but constant problems with this vacuum cleaner.

Having purchased a different hoover prior to this one (I will not say which brand it was) I sent it back because it was RUBBISH

This Electrolux Hoover is GREAT. So much better.

Having believed the media, and paid an exorbitant amount of money for a Dyson vacuum cleaner [which did not live up to its reputation], my wife bought an Electrolux Z7310 Cyclone Ultra. What a difference. Streets ahead of the Dyson in every respect - no more screaming and bad language - order and calm has once more descended on our house. Many thanks Electrolux
